ive had mine done twice. once i had them in my chest, and another time in my arm.
both times they rejected.
im thinking about getting them done on the skin flap of my trachea (triangular shaped flap of skin on the frontmost part of your throat), but i was told that my shirt line may agitate the anchors and cause them not to heal properly. might just say fuck it and just wear v-necks for a while.

nah, i mean.. its on your body so you would know best. if you go to an artist that is real good with scripts they could just add some loops to the entire script and make the letters look like they flow really well. from the looks of the picture it looks like you could make the d look like the top of the u just next to the "L" which right now is the d. and then just add a d on the end. the h looks like it would fit pretty pearl...

anybody have any advice for keeping a nostril screw inside my nostril and not just look like a gold booger sticking out.
ive got two nostril screws in my right nostril. i switched the front one from an L bend because it was sticking out, and one of my piercers told me that it would stay in my nostril. im too up on the idea of a bone, so im out of ideas.

Getting my snakebite done on saturday, two black rings.

Anyone with experience on healing of that? I'm expecting, swelling, bruising and sluuurring. Shit's gonna be worth it though.

keep the studs for a while and clean it every day, i did it once in the morning and once at night just dont take it out swelling yeah bruising not so much oh and dont expect to be eating a burger or any 'streatch your mouth' type foods

longer studs are best for the swelling.
although they look kindof awkward, they should only take a week or two to fully heal.
and yeah dont remove jewelry at all unless inserting new jewelry.
because the healing process is so short in oral piercings, they will close up in just a few shorts hours, and fresh ones can close up in minutes.
dont expect to eat spicy foods at all. salt can irratate it at first, too.
keep 'em clean. flush 'em out with saline solution. your piercer may or may not give you a saline mouth wash to use. never use alcohol based mouth washes such as listerene because alcohol kills all bacteria, including those which aid the healing process. alcohol can also dry out surfaces causing cracking of the skin and irritation of the piercings.

first two are my left ear: Industrial, High Conch at 12G, Lobe at a 2g, and Second Lobe at 10G. My right ear is exactly the same minus the industrial bar.

aight im stoked on being able to post some real useful info up on this one. i my self am a trained piercer/modification artist. as far as piercings go i have 7/8" ss double flared tunnnels in right now but about 40 different sets of stone and wood ones, my labret is pierced, ive had 4 seperate surface peircings around my eyes three microdermals in my chest and ive been suspended from 4 gauge hooks in my back. as fatr as art goes i have a 3/4 sleeve based on the book where the wild things are on my left arm, "sometimes time doesn't heal" around my collar a zombie on my right side an fbm bikes logo with two hands being forced to shake by a snake that says "learn the hard way" underneath it and an old krylon can i drew up from my first black book way back in the day that i let the apprentice at the shop i was working at do above my ankle. looks like trash but it was from when i was learnin and he was learning at the same time now hes a bad ass artist and i get free ink whenever i want. and finally i have a scarification i did with a scalpel on myself of a cherry tree branch thats blossoming ill see if i can get the pics to work

im from the obx area (nags head kitty hawk) like right below the virginia line but i was working at dyeing rites tattoo and body piercing in elizabeth city. and on the topics of rings in initial lip piercings i would say both yes and now it really depends on the person excessive swelling with a ring in will cause intense discomfort and irrritation to the piercing site if the lip begins to push on the ring. i prefer to measure the distance from the top of the lip go 3/8"s of an inch down and pierce using a labret stud that way theres no worry about swelling and irritation and when it heals a 3/8" diameter CBR will fit on and be snug with the lip. its all personal preference though.

And you're correct, pants are the hardest part. I put the boxers waistband above them, and the pants waistband below them, as pants slide, but boxers don't.

second on the alcohol topic- alcohol in general is very bad for piercings and will dry your skin out as stated by baszma. BUT, liquor is okay for piercings. never ever ever ever drink beer when you have a fresh oral piercing. were all familiar with what a yeast infection is in females right? well go a head out and chug down some beers after getting those wonderful snake bites and if you've never born witness to bread growing out of the human body then you'll be in for a real treat.
also the only reason say liquor is okay is because of the type of alcohol in it its not the same chemical composition or any where near the strength of isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) and try and stay away from alcohol based mouth washes theres tons out there like biotene and A.C.T that dont have alcohol in them but if your gonna use listerene then use the gross ass yellow one and dilute it down half water half mouth wash.

i've heard that a PVC based jewelry is better for transdermal surface piercing is better than a CBB. it is supposed to move with your body better.

totally not pvc based its ptfe teflon based jewelry and yes it is better for surface piercings in areas of high movement and do put alot less strees in the skin. But the same can be done with a the right stainless jewelry and an experienced piercer. check out some of anatometal's surface bars a lil pricey but i know a lot of people who are getting good results from their surface bars

yeah i know what your saying but its completley healed from the pic i sent you(so its not a blow out now its cleared up) and i wanna know if i should start using that oil you suggested , and i used to have a much bigger scar (im not sure how to describe it) on the right ear and now thats more or less gone. theres hardly any noticable sign that i had a blow out there ,its mainly the left that you can notice now ... is there anything i can do for that one?

well the thing about silicone is its awesome for well heald ears if there was any residual tears from the last stretch then you ears gonna act funky as hell and yes you can stretch now my best advice is get SS single flared tunnels for every stretch that way you dont have to worry about stretching bigger to fit over the flare on double flares. and the reason why you ss tunnels smell like pure goat ass is because the dead skin cells and body oils just sit in there and rot. dont take it personal though since everyones do it. when you get to your final size invest in some nice wood or organic plugs and they will absorb that gross ass shit. also go a head with those oils and massage those ear lobes now if everything is cleared up you lobes will thank you

Never stretch with bone or wood! It's pretty much the same as stretching with silicone, your ear can grow to the jewelry and then you're really fucked.

I've found the single flare Industrial Strength steel jewlery to be some of the best ive ever worn, especially when my ears were pissed.

So you put one in and let it in for a week (sometimes more or less..)
and then go on onto a bigger one..
Until you get to the size you want..

Why use tapers? they are bigger and fall out more easily..

To get jewelry in easier...
You put on the bigger end of the taper the piercing (tunnel) and you push it
through the hole in the earlobe and tada.. piercing in..
Also some people use it for stretching but IMO it is not very good because
the skin rips easier and it uncomfortable ...

they are a faster approach and if your ears arent quite big enough when you are ready to stretch then they can aid in opening the hole a little wider. alot of piercers use them if you go in to have your ears stretched so that they can ease your ears open instead of just shoving a new piece of jewelry in an ripping your lobes, or causing a blow out.

and you dont have to stretch every two weeks. you can most certainly wait and let your ears set up to that size and heal fully. i think when people want to start stretching they want to get to the size they want as fast as they can. i think that you should do it for the experience.
ive only been stretching since last may. i started at a 14 and have gone to a 2. i took each stretch into consideration before i did it and went to piercers for answers along the way. i think people just want their ears to be stretched, and now.

yeah. the central point of healing for piercings on the body is the mouth.
the closer you are to the mouth, generally, the faster the piercing heals.
you might have a long healing period unless it is just a surface piercing.
