i'm thinking about getting spacers in my left lobe tomorrow, pierced at a 14 and if i like it i'll get the right lobe, and stretch both to a 4 hopefully. if i leave say a month or two months between sizing up, would it be permanent? i've been getting a lot of conflicting answers on this..

4 gauge? No.The number of sizes you skip doesn't really affect the ability for it to shrink..Anything smaller than 00 is probably going to shrink back significantly over time. Your lobe doesn't even really start expanding until 2 or 0. What is a 'spacer?' I've always referred to clear retainers as spacers. You mean plugs? Or tunnels? Or some such?

I wore my 14g tapers for about a week. But they're tiny (barely an inch long) I used tapers because I went from 20 to 14 in one stretch, before my ears were totally healed from the pierce. (Which I'm probably about to do again with my new holes, soon. ) Any tapers after around that size are long, obnoxious, and will probably poke you in the neck. I wore my 0gauge tapers for about 3 days in each ear, entirely because when I stretched to zero, it was so tight, I blew the ears out and was NOT going to fucking remove that son of a bitch before it was at least slightly healed. But overall I wouldn't recommend wearing them. It's uncomfortable, bulky, inconvenient, and your ear lobes will tilt, because the taper will hang down from the back. It's just ugly.

I always wear my tapers. They're marble and they're pretty long. I don't even take them out when I sleep. I'm at a size 2 now..I don't plan on going any bigger...but tapers don't really bother me that much. I've never been poked in the neck...but I could totally stab someone with 'em. I want to get more ear piercings..even though I have plenty.

i got mine pierced at an 8 and immediately tapered to a 4 in the same sitting. it all depends on how much pain you can handle, and how much your ear can handle aswell.

have an actual piercer do it, not a friend. he'll know when/when not to stop.

I intend to get it in dermals once it's rejected. Piercing the bitch hurts after it's done though. It's the only piercing I've had that's hurt after it was pierced. It was sore for a good two days and bled like a motherfuck. It's also a bitch catching it on everything. I promise you, you will catch it on shit you never imagined would be near your face.

No, dermals can still reject, they just don't always do. They'll be there a lot longer than a piercing will. Surface piercings on your face will ALWAYS reject.

There's no real hole, my girl's rejected and finally came out last week, and it's just a gnarly scar. Hers was infected virtrually the entire time she had it though.
I've caught mine on everything from towels, shirts, tree branches, necklaces, bracelet, my hair, my girl's hair, my rat bit it, I've forgotten it's there and went to scratch it (fuck). Once I caught it on one of those bath scrubber things. Bent over in the shower to get something and it was hanging on the wall, face got too close and RIP.
I do love it though. I'll be sad when it's gone.

But yea, the smaller sizes are actually the worst stretches because they're bigger size differences. I hate people who think skipping sizes is cool and a good idea.


BTw, using bondage tape to strech is the way to go. Painless and cheaper than tapers. I'm att 11/16 of an inch now.

My second holes are 14g. I stretched my first ones from 20g. I went from 20 to 14, then I didn't really skip anymore sizes. But I didn't let my ears heal from 4g properly. you can sometimes, find odd sizes between 2 to 0 and 0 to 00 but honestly use bondage tape to strech man. SO much easier, no pain and not as harmful to your ears.

It's marketed as bondage tape.
Buy it at sex shops, maybe Spencers?

You could also go the poor man's route and go with PTFE/plumber's tape.
It's just as safe, but you should make shure you keep your ears nice and lubed while it's in there, it likes to stick

I never used tape. I should have, but I've always used tapers/glass spirals. Worked fine with spirals until zero.

Taping is the way to go. Get some electrical tape up in there, always worked perfectly for me, don't listen to people who hate on it.

electrical tape really can fuck your shit up though, because of the adhesive.
if it seeps between your ear and the plug while you are asleep or something, it can get a really nasty infection going.
Just buy plumbers tape, it's just as cheap, if not more-so, than electrical tape, without the chance of adhesives messing your ears up.

My plugs are way loose now. I can actually push the flare through the hole no problem. It's a little weird, I've never had my stretches loosen up that drastically before. (This is a BIG fucking flare, too) It's like my lobes are now actually 1/2" or so, instead of 00. Do they just get that way all the time when you start getting big or what?

The lobe is getting thinner around your plug, so the weight of the plug is stretching your skin out. It's pretty typical.

Well do you tend to pull on your lobes a little bit here and there? Your skin is losing it's elasticity the more you stretch them, so every tug can make them more and more loose. If that's not the case, then I guess it's just magic that this happens. Or gravity...

Woke up today and lost the rubber stoppers to my only 14g white plugs, I switched to different white plugs, 10g's and they went in with ease.
