lifestyle, hobby and addiction.............its weird like, im older now so i dont get up as much but i mean i always catch tags and will do a throw up at least once a week......i mean i always tell myself i have to stop one day but as for right now i really cant process that thought in my head about the day i will have to stop....

11-10-2005, 09:16 PM
I think it started out as a hobby, like it was fun and satisfying, then it truned into a hobby, like i would bomb like at least a couple times a week, then it turned into a lifestyle, like i would think about and plan out graff all day, then it was an addiction, like i needed to tag and would steal two backpacks full of paint, now it developed into a mixture of all of them and thats the best fuckin mixture eva

11-12-2005, 10:37 AM
all of them but for me i would say its mostly a lifestyle and addiction. its all i really do, can do, and want to do. ill do graffiti until something with a higher adrenaline rush, more appealing, and just more fun comes about.

as much as i hate to admit it, when i first got into it, i couldnt sleep because ideas kept poping into my mind, still happens after a good day some 4 years later

06-06-2006, 01:26 AM
its a habit for me, i just write on things, i guess its a lifestyle cuz a lot my time goes to it without me realizing you know? kind of a curse

06-07-2006, 03:48 PM

06-08-2006, 02:57 AM
when you start to always think about graff (taxing shit, bombing, paint etc) its pretty obvious its an addiction. i remember what it was like before i started, i never used to steal or even write on desks w/ pencil then that day when i saw my first really ill graff piece when i was 12 the shit hit the fans and i never looked back.

06-08-2006, 06:22 AM

i do it for the art and for the adrenaline rush sumtimes ( tags only buh)

and cause wen i started i looked up to all the sick peices in my area and den i started and now its my life

06-08-2006, 06:23 AM
my curse and my remedy...mostly my lifestyle..

graff is like a drug and im addicted, this sentence wud be alot easier if i just said, addicted sooooooooooooooo,

06-19-2006, 10:10 PM
it started out as a hobby, turned into a lifestyle for the longest time..then i got bagged, and thought why the fuck am i doing this...then the day after i realized it was an addiction when i had to go paint..then i got bagged again, and decided thart i was gonna take a long break...its ben about a week and ive already painted more than 5 times, and am planning more shit....
this addiction is hard to break yahhh

06-20-2006, 12:21 AM
I'm not going to lie. Its just a hobby. I don't really paint all that much, I just like to go out every once and awhile and write in the bathroom while im shittin.

06-20-2006, 12:40 PM
I put habit casue thas were im at right now. I started while school was going jus writing on desks an stuff an so now i draw all the time. In near future i could see it being a lifestyle.

06-30-2006, 08:11 AM
addiction and life style

07-08-2006, 04:00 PM
I think it is a little bit of all of them for me because I mean with out it I dont know what the fuck I would do besides play games and its become kind of a daily routine like I dont even think about it any more I just do it but its a fun routine at that :D And I love doin it so it could be a hobbie.... a very illegal hobbie

07-11-2006, 05:04 PM
1st. intrest
2nd. hobby
now hobby/addiction (almost fell asleep holding my new montana alian)

07-16-2006, 12:14 PM

hey zod. you're a newbie.. i touched your moms tits with my rim.

07-28-2006, 06:52 PM
i'd say habbit. the most illegal shit i done is just some tags at the park, and whenever i can get my hands on the 99cent cans from walmart i'm doin throws in my garage. but nevertheless graff is always on my mind, so its kind of a habbit/addiction

are we talking bout smoking crack or grafitti
cus right now 44.09% says addictions and i find it kind of hard to be addicted to wrighting on a wall but i could be wrong not
but its a life style for me

07-29-2006, 07:55 PM

I've been in the game for like a year actually painting and I cant go any where without writing on a napkin or something. If you want to get up you have to live this 24/7

07-30-2006, 10:13 AM

08-23-2006, 06:32 AM
I'ts too cool to be a hobby,
it feels too good to be a curse,
Cant be an addiction or a habbit coz I dont want it to stop,
Graff is sumthing you do, Hip-Hop is sumthing you LIVE...

Lifestyle...from the womb 2 the tomb.

08-23-2006, 07:59 PM
its an addictive lifestyle

08-23-2006, 10:43 PM
mmmmmm idk is a lifestyle because i im always thinking about how to make new markers or how im gona make my new ink and all that shit

08-23-2006, 11:03 PM
its a life style...

in a life style thers hobby's, and addiction's....when you adapt a lifestyle you take in evrything that has anything to do with that

so its an addiction a hobby and a lifestyle

everything you do should reflect graffiti when you take it in as a lifestyle, you pretty much grow on it, and it grows on you

definetly addicition

08-23-2006, 11:09 PM
Eh after all this time its been weird
When I first started I was hyper-toy sketching and shit then I got tired because i didnt get better
then i slowly got better, looked through my black book like wow i sucked and only over 5 months
didnt quit but didnt practice for a while (i know im a big toy and pretty new to graff) but I tagged stuff and did a few throwies
then Its become like my sneaker collection
its a part of me now
For the past month I started sketching a lot again (after 2 months and i couldnt for 2 months because my arm broke= 4 months) and went back to a very basic style recomennded by people to me
now its like i sketch a lot everyday and im addicted

i can tell what people mean most people just quit after 6 months i guess that part passed and the only reason i guess because i see graffiti and it makes me want to do it, i get urges, i love art and paint but i got lazy in the summer i guess the heat

now its like brushing my teeth
my life is writing, writing lyrics, djing, making beats, collecting shoes and not just some little fad...all these things used to be little fads you know like hey im courious ill try it now some of em stuck

i duno what im saying but if you do you feel me?

08-23-2006, 11:14 PM
positive disintegration

its like you do sumtin, ex. graf and its like a hill u go up while ur all exited n shit... then 'pos disintegratioin' kicks in. its like that feeling you get that nothing you do all of a sudden is good. like even writing a tag looks like shit and its all downhill

i heard sum crazy fungshway shit that supposedly its like your brain, it rewires itself. i dont know if thats entirely true but i can see the point. its that ur goin down hill and then you stop. maybe take a break for a few days, weeks, months and u start writin again and ur like "ooooh shit all of a sudden im so much better"

i know i have ma days im like uhhh fucking drop my shit in a drawer in my desk n for a week dont even think about graf. come bak and i feel like my style is improve 300%

soo uh yea just thought that was a kool lil concept i could throw in here

08-23-2006, 11:23 PM
word that sounds like what happens when i do something man

yeah thats pretty cool didnt know there was a name for it

08-24-2006, 03:44 PM
1.Your cursed to begin the stages.
2.You start it off as a hobby.
3.It becomes a habbit.
4.Which developes into an addiction.
5.You are taken over and live the full lifestyle.

Overall: Lifestyle

08-25-2006, 02:08 AM
 .............................lifestyle

08-27-2006, 07:22 AM
kinda a hobby more a addiction

09-01-2006, 07:58 AM
its my lifestyle , i study graff and like playing with paint thats about it really...
i dont like talking with people who arent into graff...i often get bored at parties if theres not at least someone there whos a criminal in some description or a down to earth kinda person...who will put up with listening to me talk about paint all the time or my intrest in aerosol arts
its gone WAY past being a hobby.
i dont get up enough for it to be a habit
i often have dreams about graffiti...
mmm and god spoke to me and told me to never stop playing with paint because he belieces im going to somehow make powerful revelations with graff so i have faith in that and myself.
:) so churr to the almight cre8or

09-01-2006, 08:36 AM
Lifestyle, addiction, and curse...Its always on my mind, I couldnt quit if I wanted, and its fucked up a lot of things for me...

addiction b/c i do it when i really should be doing other stuff . . . and i sacrifice alot for what? to get better at drawing and painting letters? sometimes i wonder if i do it to get better and get ups or just to zone out, forget about all the hassles of daily life and just meditate on somethin simple and happy like color schemes and outlines/designs . . . its a nice feelin to spark the mornin eL, play some tunes and crack open the bbook . . . .

09-02-2006, 05:27 AM
lifestyle(addiction fueled)

the funny thing is i never wanted to learn to read or write when i was like 6 and now i'm obsessed with this graffiti shit....scary

09-11-2006, 06:48 PM
yup. i cant stop thinking about graffiti.i luv it. ever since i started i think about it all the time. thats why im in this gay website(jk this site is tight)

09-11-2006, 07:43 PM
I'm thinking there should have been an "all of the above" rather than curse.

07-03-2007, 11:25 PM
its like fucking herion and crack all that same time
i cant even stop doodling on shit when i am not seriously tagging

07-04-2007, 12:53 AM
i said habbit. i can't sit down anywhere with anything that can make some sort of mark without throwin down a hand in every inch of whatever it is i'm writing on. if i got a can of paint, it's gone in 5 minutes. if i got 10 cans of paint, they're gone by the end of the day. got a marker, i fuck up the nib before i even advance in my style (that being said, i'm still advancing)

i came up to philly/jersey for a family reunion type thing, and i brought my camera, and now the memory card is completely full of flicks of shit i see when i'm walkin/ridin down the road.

i went to dinner tonight at a nice restaurant and asked for some crayons (hahah) and got a piece of paper, and i dropped a piece before our drinks came, and proceeded to do throws and hands throughout half the dinner till the paper was full.

i kinda think more along the lines of addiction/lifestyle now that i think about it. i know it's been said, too, but it's completely true that it starts as a hobby then morphs into a habbit/addiction, then into a lifestyle, and i'm long past that last stage.

07-04-2007, 10:23 AM
hobby, i can stop writing when i want (i think)
but i can't stop thinking about it, and looking at graffiti.

07-04-2007, 10:30 AM
lifestyle/addict at this point

07-04-2007, 10:34 PM
A lifestyle

07-04-2007, 10:35 PM
well and also a addiction

07-05-2007, 01:53 PM
Definitely a lifestyle, it influences everything i do and every decision i make about my life, what i want my job to be, where i want to live what part of town ect..I'm addicted, definitly, but I know that if I tried to quite it would be like completely changing who i am and what my life is so definitely a lifestyle.

07-05-2007, 02:15 PM
guaranteed more than half the toys who wrote addiction would quit graff at the drop of an asshat if they got arrested.

08-03-2007, 03:54 PM
has to be all of them exept curse

08-04-2007, 03:16 PM
I'd call it a lifestyle..addiction sounds to much like I want to quit but I cant..and I definetly dont want to quit.

08-04-2007, 03:19 PM
I think lifestyle and addiction are the same because if you got an addiction like graffiti, it becomes a lifestyle. actualy this poll is more like the stages of how far into graffiti are you

08-04-2007, 03:29 PM
dunno lifestyle/addiction all i do is sketch bomb paint when i can n look at graff constantly its taken over my life lol

08-04-2007, 03:31 PM
n asshat i been arrested for it n im still goin n while i was in the interview room all i could see in my head was graff n thinkin how i could improve it all . but i aggree with you in a way

08-05-2007, 10:37 AM
1st. hobby
2nd. habbit
now. addiction

08-05-2007, 06:20 PM
