View Full Version : the 100 Greatest Movies

Cherubic Meekus
11-16-2005, 05:11 PM
Ive just been reading ''Total Film's 100 Greatest Movies of all time,'' ....
it ranks Goodfellas as number.1.
Even though the top 10 is mostly devoid of the usual cliques...
(10. His Girl Friday
9. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
8. The Empire Strikes Back
7. Tokyo Story
6. Citizen Kane
5. The Godfather Part.2
4. Fight Club
3. Jaws
2. Vertigo )

I still wanted to know your opinion...????
I feel that Goodfellas isn't worthy of the number 1 position....

A few notable omissions from the entire list are: The Green Mile, Life is Beautiful, A Clockwork Orange, Clerks and Uncle Buck.....(ok, so the latter isnt exactly a work of art...but its good, clean entertainment.)

Any of you seen beat street? Also Akira was dope. Cheech and Chongs Up In Smoke - awesome. Also, check out "But Im A Cheerleader". Its about a high school cheerleader (one chick from American Pie) who gets sent to a gay reformation camp. Its some hilarious shit, if you arent homophobic.

MegamanX
11-20-2005, 03:58 PM
Beat street is about the revolution of hip hop back in the late 80s. It has Afrika Bambaata live, Funkmaster flash. Its centered around a crew of breakers, one of which is like the best graff man in NYC, who gets killed by a bum who spray paints shit over anything good he does. Funkmaster flash wrote a song about the guy.

for some reason gladiator is the only film that i can honestly say i nearly cry when ever i see it. I dont have a fuckin clue why it just makes me feel proper sad.

I get teary eyed when Simon Callow's character dies in ''Four Weddings and a Funeral''......
I also get a daunt chill after watching the finale of ''Dead Mans Shoes''.

And Ong Bak is the best fighting movie EVER. If you wanna disagree, you better have seen it at least. Show me one other movie where a guy does all his stunts with no CG and can run across 10 guys shoulders. Or even jump high enough to get on someones shoulders

one is just "star wars"....don't work that way...the two out for....millions...and ferris bulers day off....and gold finger...is that austin powrs? cuse that doesn't fit on here
