We used to paint in some abandoned factories in our local area, but the council realised it existed and they have begun tearing it all down.

i was wondering, what is the best way to find abandoned factories, because some are empty, but look used, and some look empy and used. i guess i might go out into the woods and look for some ruins or sumthing, but we need a new place to paint!

They are usually demolished fast because they don't like letting writers have the fun of going to town on decorating the walls.
Nothing you can do except scope out ones that you suspect of being empty. If you're lucky you might have a place to work with for a month or two.

There's an abandoned tire factory that's about 5min. from my house, the front of it is a perfect blank that's about 100ft. long. It's visible from the road, but there used to be 5ft. weeds growing in front of it so it was real chill....but the hurricane ripped them all out :(

these factories that we used to paint where legendary in the UK, a massive estate of abandoned buildings, the main one, nicknamed the ICF (ice cream factory) was intense, the junkies would go in at night to keep warm in the freezers (shut off, soak up the sun in the day) but we really had the run of this 3 story factory, the top floor one room had a hall of fame, then there where offices (dark) and just masses of white walls to paint, time of our lives in there. we wud stay all day and stuff, it was amazing, but then the council realised that we had been using them and started sending cops to it every now and again. ahh the good old days, haha.

well you cant do a full colour piece on a hot wall very easily. if there is a factory you can spend all day painting it chilling, its actually fun exploring it.
