this is the stupidest picture ever. i have NEVER seen any of those scene kids at a hardcore show. i&#39;ve been to more shows like the top picture than i can count. that hardcore is still around, its not dead despite what you read or see in American Hardcore. fucking dumb. i still go to DIY hardcore shows in legion halls in the ghetto with drivebye shootings. the cops came to a powerviolence show just 2 nights ago because they thought it was a communist meeting. everything i read in American Hardcore and elsewhere that says that hardcore is dead is completely wrong. everything that they say is done and over, I can still relate to. that shit still happens to me everyday. ive never seen scene kids at a DIY hardcore punk show. ever. everything i know about hardcore is in the first picture. house shows with DYS covers make my life complete.

coliseum is so insanely boring live. they&#39;re alright, but once you&#39;ve seen them play one song, you&#39;ve pretty much seen them play all their songs. i&#39;m sure they&#39;re better on recording, though.

but yeah, scenesters go to a lot of real hardcore shows here, but all they do is act awkward and stand in the back, then come out RIGHT when a twostep beat starts. it&#39;s like they have a sixth sense for when one is coming up.

i really don&#39;t care, though, as long as i don&#39;t get turned away at the door due to too many people, due to too many scenesters who have no fucking clue who any of the bands are, and they just want to be accepted by the "real hardcore kids". but that&#39;ll never happen, cause the people who take money at the door know who i am, and would rather kick some flock of seagulls hearcut ass having people out and let me in, if that&#39;s what it takes.

that show was good except for the fights. they were all 10 on 1, except for when my friend accidentally punched the owner of the muse, then it was like 7 on 5 and then people thought this other kid was the one who punched him, so a bunch of people jumped him right outside. then the cops came and almost arrested him for nothing, and everybody i was with ended up getting kicked out, so we all had to leave. that part blew.

But seriously, I think its more about ethical values, staying true to yourself, not selling out and when I say that I mean selling out to the new fads, the new cool things just because its easy to jump on the bandwaggon...
