In my opinion "hardcore" is a huge genre with many sub-genres which may include bands such as American Nightmare, or Atreyu, or even Lamb of God. Hardcore is just a heavy type of music, even though it started off as a punk-y, thrash type of music, the word "hardcore" has evolved and included itself in tons of other music and also influenced millions of bands to play certain things and do certain things.

Btw.. half the "hardcore" kids I know could beat your ass, so shut your lips. Get your head out of your ass and get your head into reality where it doesn't make sense to bash another persons lifestyle or likings for your own pleasure.

Wow you are very wrong. Although i don't not support this corporation in any way i know alot of the bands sold in there are on independent labels. I know for a fact bridge9 and deathwish's distirubtors send shit there. I am a stand firm in supporting local record shops when it comes to buying records and such. I'm very greatfull for living on the east coast where non "mainstream" music is easy to obtain. But one thing you have to think about is out in the mid-west and smaller towns and citys there aren't alot/ any local record stores with in 100 miles. If your cities mall's hot topic is the only place to pick up the newest hardcore record releases..then i'm all for it.

I remember seeing Underoath in a small venue in Hamilton, Ontario 3 years ago and about 60 people showed up. Now Underoath shows are like 10000 people easy. Also I saw Panic At The Disco close to 3 years ago as well and there were only a handful of people that knew any words to any of their songs.

Also appearance doesn't mean anything. Again, people are just so caught up in what's cool and what's not (which is proved by half of you doing graffiti and having an account on this site.) that you disregard everything there is to meeting a person and judge a person by their appearance before you have any idea of what they are like as a person.

Hardcore (as well as Post-Hardcore and Punk) has just died out pretty much. There used to be a bunch of legitimate bands but no one stays underground for very long now-a-days. I used to like having bands to call my own and I'd kill people who were spreading the word of the band a bit too much. Now I accept it as something that is bound to happen. While I will admit I do not know many "hardcore" bands I know a few of post-hardcore and alternative bands. My musical taste spreads all through the rock umbrella so I like pretty much everything from classical rock to death metal. On that note time to finish downloading the rest of my library, any recommendations?
