in the early 70s, Malcolm Mclaren was the owner of an S&M fetish shop. According to him, he would have kids come in and just sit around all day and fuddle with the various musical instruments he kept behind the counter. One year, he visited New York on vacation. His friends took him to a small bar on the Bowery called CBGB&#39;s where he saw an American band called "Richard Hell and the Voidoids" play. Now, there was no name for this brand of music yet, but a few months later, a magazine called "PUNK" (referring to the lower class hoodlums of NYC) would feature Richard Hell and finally give this brand of music a name.
Mclaren was fascinated. He has said a number of times on record that what really drew him into Richard Hell and his band was their ripped clothing and 5 o&#39;clock shadows. He returned to London with this "ingenious" idea. He summoned some of the local kids who frequented his store and taught them (rather poorly) how to play. killed in action was pretty good, got alot of shit from the croud...at one point this dude was leaning over the stage and swinging his shit to slap the lead singer in the face..at the end some dude fro the crowd grabbed the mic and started talking shit so the bassist took a 5th of jim bean from this chick in the crouch, chuged it, broke the bottle, and stabbed him self in the forehead multiple times while a fan was instigating a fight with the mic hahaha


bury the living, I would say the second best set....the energy of the music was freakin amazing...I was stuck on a sellers table and couldn&#39;t get to the pit...but it was an amazing set

capitolist casualties...I have to say, from all the hype that I hear about them, I wasn&#39;t too impressed, there were times when the pit was completely dead and there wasn&#39;t much energy...don&#39;t get me wrong I thing they are ana awsome bands....but...

killed in action was pretty good, got alot of shit from the croud...at one point this dude was leaning over the stage and swinging his shit to slap the lead singer in the face..at the end some dude fro the crowd grabbed the mic and started talking shit so the bassist took a 5th of jim bean from this chick in the crouch, chuged it, broke the bottle, and stabbed him self in the forehead multiple times while a fan was instigating a fight with the mic hahaha

municipal waste.....what can I say......the place went nuts......I was hit in the face with a garbage can, smashed by a couch and beaten with a boogie board while in the insanely fast circle pit hahaha it was an amazing set


all in all...I think the best two sets I saw...municpal waste and bury the living....the show was well worth the 7 bucks

i saw death before dishonor and ramallah last night and it kicked sooo much ass. just a right down awesome show. i hit many kids in the pit and i had the wind knocked out of me when some kids frantic two step flailing arm bust me right in the gut. i couldn&#39;t breath for like 10 seconds, but i got back up chilled for five and got back in tearin some shit down&#33; pits arn&#39;t supposed to be nice and friendly. well atleast help people up and don&#39;t intentionally fuck them up bad unless there asking for it. but take that outside afterwards. its all about fun and gettin banged up a bit, so the next day you&#39;ll have a bitchin story of your bruise or gettin spin kicked in the face. its all good. Q: Who the hell would stab Jack Control?
A: ... a fucking hobo crusty jackass... Ok so here is an update:
There was a large show on North Loop on Saturday night. At the end of the night some random trainhopper kids got rowdy. One guy kicked in the window of The Parlor (the pizza place Jazzys family owns) Jazzy, Zack and Jack went outside to confront these guys and a big mess broke out. Jack stepped in to stop one of these guys from hitting jazzy. This is when one of the guys came from behind Jack and stabbed him in the gut. The fight pretty much ended at that point. The suspect fled & Jack started walking away and casually stated that they needed to leave. The police and EMS arrived shortly after. The guy that had stabbed Jack goes by the name of "bingo" and was arrested only a few blocks away from the scene. Jack was taken to Brackeridge hospital by EMS and was in surgry for about 4 hours... The wound went pretty deep and got really close to his heart and he lost alot of blood. He is curently recovering in ICU at Brackenridge Hospital. "bingo" is still in custody and being charged with attempted murder. Jack will be in the hospital for a few more days and his bills have gotten to over 80 thousand dollars. Timmys got a paypall account set up. And we are in the process of setting up some other things to help out with random expenses... Benifit shows can&#39;t put a dent in such expesive hospital bills but they can deff. help with other things apparently getting stabbed costs alot of money... If you want to help out with setting up shows in your city contact me. Please don&#39;t call me or e-mail me with stupid questions and hearsay gossip shit. But if you can help out let us know. Jack is pretty much the toughest guy I know and he&#39;ll be fine but seeing him in the hospital with all those machines fucking sucks.
