Rc Drifting

what up people
just wondering if anyone out there does and RC drifting???

im kinda new to it but its fun as hell...
i ony have a Tyco Drift Kings Silvia but it works damn good
by summer i plan to get a tamiya tt01 or somethin along them lines

anyways anyone thats into driftin heres a thread for yall to chat about it, post pics and videos......

but my gf got me the drift car.. and i plan on buyin a better one...

pro rc cars are mad, couple of my friends have them. they go fucking fast (70km/h) for something so small.

70km/h isn't fast.
I was into nitro RC for three years, I used to race 1/10th scale cars with the .12 cubic inch (2.1cc) engines; 0-100km/h in 4 seconds.
1/8th scale cars with .21 engines (3.5cc) costing $2500+ can do 0-100 in 2 seconds if you get the fastest engine and tune everything right.
Drift RC Cars are all electric because the power curve is alot smoother, making it ideal for drift. Nitro RC cars are heavier and don't work nearly as well. I've never been into electric.

I was thinking about buying a $300 US RC car so that I could drift it. Then it hit me. Why spend $300 on a RC drift car, when I could just put that towards my actual drift car I'm working on? I mean which is more fun? RC drifting, or actual drifting? I'm going to say the latter.

i used to be into rc cars and all that me and my freinds always tryed to make are cars drift lol and look now they make um were u can adjust the differential and all that stuff there pretty neat i was lookn at getn one but there pretty expensive for an rc car i mean $300 think of how much paint u could buy lol or markers i could use $300 in paint and markers

best bet if your lookin for a pro car os to try ebay... can get em around 150 usually.... but if ya aint lookin for a pro car and wannan just get a car for the fun of it pick up a tyco drift king... they run about $70 canadian or they are on clearnace for 50 at a walmart near me

I got a Assoitated Rc10GT witch is a nitro stadium truck that i race evvery now and thena t the local dirt track

I got a hyper .15 engigne in it and basicly have replaced all the plastic parts with aluminum or carbon fiber parts..it a fun and expensive hobby

i have two tamiya tl-01, just electric but i used to fuckin love em. I never really had the money so ive only got one set of servo's radio gear. They go pretty fast but i wouldnt mind getting a nitro car. I also have an airbrush now so i can pull of some snazzy paint job on the body :P

I dont drift my rc cars, I used to race in the GT-2 class for little bit then got bored and now Im costum building a car from a carbon fiber chasis and a .12 size Nova Rossi turbo engine.

my kid brother drifts rc cars. Xmods.....just throw an AWD kit in it, a stage 2 motor(like the drift or drag one) and slap on some drift tires or tape up the rubber.......and you'll be drifting.

with all the mods i put in. id say everything total is close to $600...
now its in my closet.. i havent started it up in a couple years..

i used to own maaaaad xmods. hadda supra, mustang, and my personal favorite...wrx sti. ugh i loved it. and me being in the auto body trade i did all sorts of custom body work to them such as body kits and paint jobs. fucking sexy. my wrx tore it up to. had the thing dragged out. litium ion batteries, carbon fiber chassi, the whole works. thing was a beast until one of the servo wires snapped so all it would do was go really fast in circles. never got around to putting that new servo in...it's been like 2-3 years now. mayb i should pull em back outta my closet or some shit.
