My Way Of Keeping Cans Upright And Quiet

Hey guys,

Since i use a backpack to keep my cans in, I came up with a way to keep my cans organized and quiet. Here is what i use so i thought i would share.

1. Use styrofoam or something similar that you can cut into with a knife or something. I had to glue 2 pieces of foam together to make it thick since the store didn't have thicker stuff.

2. Cut the styrofoam to fit snugly in the bottom of your bag (cutting the corners of the block helps).

3. Wrap tape around the outside so the foam doesn't get all messy and stuff.

4. Cut holes all the way through so that a can can fit nicely into the hole. (be careful not to break the foam or whatever you are using).

5. Place the holder into the bottom of the bag.

6. Put nice strong magnets on the bottom of the cans. (like you guys already know)

7. Put the cans in the holder, close the bag, and you are ready to go!

As i said, this works great for me, keeps them upright and dead silent! Try it out if you want!

The colorplace cans that are in my backpack are dead silent once you slap strong magnets on the bottom. maybe different balls or somethin. But the ones in the cans i get are def. metal

for a glass ball or any can for that matter, just keep it at an angle so the ball doesnt move, and keep them in a tube sock like the big wool granny ones and ur set, dont noe how to put it in a bag but why do you need more then 3 cans if ur bombing

RIKERS ISLAND - Inmates at rikers island have developed a way to count the days hey have been at prisons. use the thick rubberbands that you get on your veggies at the store (or yer mama) put two at the top ring of the can, two at the bottom, and use that magnet shit at the bottom.. it works, but you mat have a little trouble with cans that have more than one shaker in em... :ph34r:

Yeah I use a couple plastic grocery bags compiled together and just carry 2-4 cans around when I wanna go out. Easy to ditch and it looks like you are just coming back from shopping i guess.

yeah i dunno.... it wouldn&#39;t keep paint quiet since all non-euro and non-mini can (like short cuts and just enough cans) use glass balls... and i don&#39;t really see the point of taking more than 2 or 3 cans bombing and it&#39;s not like you have to sort through your bag too hard to find 2 or 3 cans....

the only time you&#39;d need more cans that is when you&#39;re piecing, and thats not the kind&#39;ve situation where you have to keep all your paint lined up in your bag.

the only way such a device would be even remotely useful would be if your piecing something risky and need to switch up and find various cans quickly... and that&#39;s not exactly an everyday situation for most writers.

whatever, do what keeps you happy.

too avoid making noise when you shake the can to mix the paint, dont shake up and down,but instead make a circle motion with your wrist,so the ball doesnt bounce,but rolls around the edge of the can. so itll mix with alot less noise.

you can get really strong disk shaped magnets at hardware stores, they fit well on the bottom of cans to keep them quiet.

yeah i had like an old thing that came in a case of wine and it was like a cardboard grid thing. so i just put that in my bag and put something around it so they dont move as much. wasnt perfect but it worked.
