Mase:the handstyle is unoriginal and hella simple, but at least its not really wak... just not intresting... try youre own stuff more, less of what weve all seen 500000 times.

as for the bomb...
its hella unconsistant.

u got the M: fat vertical line and thin horizontals. plus the middle part of the M stays very high and doesnt go down much.
A: Fat vert, thin horiz... okay thats consistant. but the hole in the A goes pretty far down, make it level with the middle part of the M.
S:meduim, then super fat... totally unconsistant with everything, scrap it.
E: same, unconsistant with the MA...

as a general rule if u do vert fat on first letter then make all vert lines fat... etc...


i suggest get a yellow highlighter... do youre tag... outline it with a pen. u got simple bomb... try different handstyle and pen outline em... then try to copy it just using a pen, no highlighter... practice that ish like that and youll get a much better understanding of letters....

also print out some fonts on paper... then try to draw their outlines on another page next to it (dont trace)... try simple fonts, script fonts, graff fonts, funky fonts....

anyfont... there again youll learn consistancy, flow, letter form. fonts are amazing letters... we tend to over look em cuz we think our graff kills all... i challenge ne1 to come up with a dope original font... look at the letters...

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWX YZ.... look at the letter consistencacy... of EVERY LETTER... u just got M-A-S-E...

i&#39;m quite uncreative and weak w/ drawing creatures and concepts of &#39;em, so i decided it was time to tackle that - and that&#39;s why i&#39;ve been drawing more of them lately.

here are some recent sketches and practices and tries and experiments: um... half were done in my classes while i took notes and listened on the side. um... yeh.

Alyte : true, thx for pointing that out - i looked at the actual sketch though to remind myself - it&#39;s partially b/c i messed the line up a little, also b/c i haven&#39;t finished lineweighting and you can&#39;t actually see it well b/c of the quality - if i had a scan you&#39;d see what i mean - it&#39;s thicker than what it looks like in the photo, but still thinnish - like... that part where it looks like it dips to one thick black line- that&#39;s just the bottom - ahhh hopefully you&#39;ll see when i can get a scan of it - n hopefully it&#39;ll be done then. thx &#39;gain.
