The Kwest peice is absolutly amazing when you see it in real life... its fucking huge and its fucking clean and big ups to him for that..... but truth is... altho i find it really dope... i find it really wak at the same time... like its so wildstyle that it looks dope.. but if you break it down you realise it sucks... kwest always does the same lettering.. and the letters suck exept for the K wich is dope but its always the same K... and basicly the peice consists of pretty much just alot of random arrows comming out of no where..

what is so bad about straight letters? I remember when i was first starting i would look at some crazy ass wild style production and shoot for that....it would come out TERRIBLE, and thats what im seeing now...eventually i noticed that i couldnt get there if i didnt know how letters worked....all of you have heard it a million times, but keep it simple, it pays off in the end, and people cant bitch at you for doin straight letters just cause they aint styles.

Everything has style to it, work on whats within your reach and stay the fuck away from the magazines/videos/and them crazy german graffiti websites where they paint the perfect image of some b-boy untill your at that level

You should really work on making your lines more even. Look at the O in the first piece. Out of order. Same with the S, and the M and T too. Also, rethink your colors man, I&#39;m not feeling them. Especially in the second one. There are too many colors going on. For a piece to be dope, you should always remember to keep atleast 4 colors. Not much more, or else it may make it look a bit fucked.

Anyways...keep sketching.

most, you need to keep the same thickness throughout the letters, or pick two thickness (ie thick for vertical thin for horizontal). this isnt a rule but will help keep a flow

and truthfully icite, i dont really feel your work. but you always have great coloring and color choices.

3) prismas are extremely good (although not the best). the "waste of money, you dont need that shit" comments usually come from people who cant use them well....


edit: narc thats a nice character but (going only on what ive seen) your characters all have similar facial features and are all drawn from the same angle (3/4 view to the right). i guess for bombing purposes its sufficient to have 1 sort of character but for your own developement you should (if you dont already, i dunno) really explore facial structure/features.

and that&#39;s why having 1 charicature down really well is great for bombing...itlooksnice and the point of bombing is repitition. but like RMA said...it&#39;s a trap you can fall into. "hey, i can draw this one face, im good at characters". much MUCH better to be REALLY good at characters, in the sense that you can draw any face you want, male or female, distort the features and structure however you want, and have it look nice. doing 1 type of character is stagnation.

same goes for everything artistic. when you&#39;re satisfied with one thing and you stop progressing you should just give up. if you have done 1 reeeaally hot piece...you could just stick with it and do that same piece over and over again. they would still look nice, but whats the POINT of doing a piece if its the same as the last one? best to keep changing it up, cause while every change isnt going to look better, overall you&#39;re advancing.
