I posted it because I liked the variations on my original character I had come up with (japanese, mexican, french). I thought I&#39;d done a good job because they are easily recognizable as the nationality I was going for. That&#39;s why I posted &#39;em. It&#39;s not like I just made this shit up today and showed &#39;em off cause I thought I was hot. I&#39;ve worked on it for a while and I like the improvements I&#39;ve made at the moment.

But what about the faces are "preetty lame"? Do you not like the cultural insensitivity? The pen I drew with? The eyes? The hair? You just threw out an adjective without any helpful suggestions. It doesn&#39;t help me improve and it&#39;s just annoying.

Is it the picture quality? I&#39;m in college and don&#39;t have every day access to a digicam, but i DO have a built in camera on my computer, which I exploit on the daily. It&#39;s not the best quality, but it&#39;s better than the camera on my phone.

And I got my black book for free. I don&#39;t really think of it as anything really cool. I mean, it&#39;s just paper. I practice in it when I&#39;m in my room, just like I practice on notebook paper in class.

I did this for the cartoon battle royal, he was done pretty quickly and the camera sucks but whatever, and des, if your want your guy to look like he&#39;s running have him in a running stance, with the lines trailing behind him and shit, faint lines are usually effective for showing movement or maybe i have no idea what i&#39;m talking about.

dude, high school shouldnt stop you from trying to get out there. ive done 2 local cd covers, started a t-shirt "business" and im trying to sell pieces now. you just got to get out there and be creative. i mean, if you made like, full color posters or paintings, you could sell em for buttloads.

word ras...looking hot. i like seeing you do simple letters like that mostly because i think you needa work on your letter structure. but the santas dope. you know you going to have to face the music eventually and try out some t&#39;s so you can improve them. you cant just keep doing them as letters on the clothing of the character. anyways here are a few sketches from school today... <_< and i wonder why i&#39;m failing.

i&#39;ve been trying a little more shadowing and playing with light effects. glare on the upper lip came out fucked up but the rest i think came out good. crits/comments?
