what i need help with is clothing. i&#39;m so lost when it comes to how the clothing is shaped, where it bends and folds, and how it is shaded. dont worry bout how bad this sketch is i&#39;m erasing the bends in the clothing now and making new ones, changing the limbs making them all skinnier just to exaggerate them a little, and also i&#39;m going to make a really short guy in the corner to go along with him. i want them to be wearing basketball jerseys and shorts but like i said i have no clue. the look i would like to go for is a sharp sort of crisp bend and fold in the clothing... if you get what i&#39;m saying. i sort of started it in the shorts on the right leg but it;s fucked up...so anyone have any tips that could help would be very appreciated.

ya i&#39;ve done some research on anatomy...still need to work on some of my muscle and bone structures i feel. also i&#39;ve tried googleing imagesits just my hand wont allow me to get the feel for clothing lol. i realize the only way i will learn how is to just keep practicing it&#39;s just it agrivates me cause i&#39;ll makr a drawing the i feel is pretty dope and then try and put clothes on it and i&#39;ll fuck it up. whatever i guess i&#39;ll just keep trying. if anyone does have some tips that may help i would love it. peace.

ps. bored that shit is dope like all your shit...i&#39;m not really a fan of pool shading tho...i think i like your older shit better that wasnt shaded that way. but i&#39;d buy your coloring book&#33;&#33;&#33; :D

thx man, ive been using a mix of that type of shading and just regular hatching... as for clothing and muscle tone...if you cant find the right picture just keep observing from nature and life n shit, its the most accurate representation...if you follow

I used to do clothing stuff when I was in 6th grade and into anime (we&#39;ve all been through that stage, I know it) and judging by the sketch you posted of that basketball guy, I got this advice for you...

-Clothing isn&#39;t like rigid (unless you put too much starch or something but I don&#39;t think you were going for the "basketball player who doesn&#39;t know how to do his laundry" look). It should rest on the body and fit the lines of the body part (ie leg, arm, penis haha jk)
-If you think real life clothing, the folds are there because they take up space that isn&#39;t taken up... If you&#39;re wearing a big shirt (like us hip hop motherfuckers), lift up your arms and see where the folds are around the left/right sides of your body... Notice how the folds go inward toward your body? That&#39;s how it should be... So folds should fit the body as well... But to a degree... Unless it&#39;s a skin-tight shirt then it shouldn&#39;t rest completely long the body, the fold should go from the top, go down and go outward, making an obtuse angle... If you understood that, great

I just guess-and-checked a lot and sketched a lot... Bore&#39;s advice is really good because nature is where your inspiration comes from pretty much (it&#39;s not like you invented clothing, you may have thought up how you wanted to do the clothing and types of clothing but you got the idea of having clothing from the stuff around you...) Just look around a lot and try to look at stuff differently and see why things happen instead of just what happens exactly

at the angle you have the head i would have it coming straight out of the bottom. if you are goin to ad like the sholders and top of the torso at the bottom of the sticker i would turn the body to one side and have his neck craning towards the head. kinda difficult to explain. basically make a curved slender neck coming from somewhere on the left (or right whatever you like better) side of chin that goes down into the torso that would be turned to one side of the sticker. make sense?

Well it was a quick sketch. Sketches are quickly done on the average. Otherwise they wouldn&#39;t be sketches, would they?

I drew the one with the needle in it&#39;s head for a flyer originally. It was for a hardcore punk show. The band is planning on making patches with the design.

well see the eyes are two As and the top of the head is a T after the first A then after that youve got the big on as like this thing on its head . i add teeth to the bottom . it lke a hybrid . and then i do the bubbles to symbolize like its flying .
