why does it need to have normal arms though? I mean if I wanted the arms to look like anything human i would have done that in the first place. I only draw them that way because that's what I think people would look like if I created them.

Maybe i'll try just smoothing them out a bit to make it more aesthetically pleasing. They do look pretty spastic compared to the rest of the lines

my faces are pretty much my own. years and years of drawing similar characs to the one i just posted trained my hand to do faces similar to that. i was working on that style before i even heard of sam flores. when i discoverd his (and several other artists) work i tried to incorporate some of his style into my own. that's a big part of improving is finding influence. by yeah great eye man. i'm glad someone finally called me out on it haha.

Atesk- your chars are sweet. you've definitly mastered the faces but something about the hands throw me off, they just remind me of chimpanzee hands or some shit. But overall sick shit
ManeMan- Your chars can use work, they arent bad but i wouldnt consider them good either. Im not a fan of the noses, they all look like pig noses to me lol
Thepekins- Not bad but something about the face makes me want to punch it, i think the eyes are just too close together but i dunno
Jokz- I really like that char but like people said before the teeth need to be fixed, other than that its dope. Reminds me of that big guy from the gorillaz music videos

Ronathon - I like yours, its simple enough to draw over and over and you can add little variaitons such as whats on his tongue to make each one individual.

Mine sucks but ive never been a big drawer, this is just a character that ive been playing with, just practicing the basics now and hopefully can develop him more. Crits pls.

Sorry to have t say this, as I normally hate it being said on here, but go simpler, I ain't the best at drawing things true to life, so chose very simple shapes, circles crosses n blobs, it may not be exactly what you want at first, but you can edit, change and fiddle with to your hearts content once you have a general shape your happy with, I think overall shape is more important than detail when your starting out with a character

Yeah as I was drawing I thought the same thing, I'm sure someone somewhere sketch one similar. I did the severed head thing bcuz I have lots of tattoos and severed shark head is a traditional tattoo thing, Thanks for the crits though!

I like it. Just add some pupils but keep them square and blocky to fit the scheme. Don't go too big.

That's a simple character. One that you can bomb hard with. People notice different stuff, and that on a public wall my friend, will get you some ups.

exi - drawing simple shapes and making chars out of them is a fun way to go about it. if a char is simple but you came up with it, it makes it a more fun then copying something on the internet. simple chars can develop easily as soon as you get your own style down. and there is a difference between influence and biting imo. finding the middle ground is what is really hard to do
