I was wondering, I have DHL stickies and havent used them yet...can anyone tell me how durable they are...like through the weather and shit? And does anyone use some kind of sealer on theirs? Like clear spray paint or something else like that?

They last in full color until the rain just rips them off if you use DecoColors. Also, if you&#39;re gonna make stickers, you&#39;re gonna wanna do lots... Sooo, if your shit falls off from the rain you should have about five up to replace that one anyway. That&#39;s how the weather is around here anyway, but I&#39;d say the best way of finding out is to stick some up and see what kind of condition they&#39;re in in a week.

The adhesive on &#39;em aren&#39;t very good, once it rains there&#39;s going to be like tons of bubbles in the sticker.

pretty much for any sticker that you get once rain or anything wet gets to them they are gonna be fucked up so just dont make the best sticker you could ever make and put it on a stop sign where it gets soaked with rain. stickers arent invinsible

I dunno, for me, I hate seeing that "UPS" blue and the "to" and "from" on there.

I think it fucks it up. I much rather prefer a blank canvas.

But if it&#39;s stickier, I might just go with the UPS and just crop out the blue part, and the to and from.

Hey i found this site yesterday & thought I&#39;d post my 3rd attempt at doing a stencil. Its the first time I&#39;ve tried doing a 2 layer stencil. any constructive crit wud be appreciated apart from get a new camera ( i know mine sucks)

Pretty good for your third stencil. I didn&#39;t even think about multiple layers until I had done at least twenty, one-layers... So yeah, pretty good. Just try to avoid smudging the paint when you pick the stencil up. And, it doesn&#39;t look like you need a new camera, you were just moving a little during the shot.

cerex...don&#39;t know if you&#39;re asking for crits, but from what I see...hmm. The plane idea is nice, but I think you should just spray the stencils on the surface instead of stickers. I think you could get more off and they would look cleaner (the sticker application is kinda rough imo)

yes to everything but kinkos. you can put usps in your printer or sticker paper, or just draw. be creative. im not good at using the printer so youll have to get tips from someone better.

Im not sure i use clear acrylic and they last longer and seem water resistant. I put a sticker up a while ago and its like in the negative degrees here in michigan with snow and some rain and my stickers are still ok.

What would be the best method of mastering the clearcoat?


-putting it on before you go slap
-applying clearcoat when you put it up (like spray it over the sticker and the surface)

I don&#39;t use clear coat on anything, because if you put too much you&#39;ve basically ruined the sticker. The stuff goes through the sticker and eats away at the adhesive. I&#39;ve never tried spraying it on after a sticker was up, but I bet it would act as a laminate to keep the edges of the sticker down, and less peelable.

clear acrylic does wonders. ive tested it out before and i could use soap and water on my stickers and all it did was fade the color a bit

it would be better to do it after its on the wall.

but thats usually a whetpaste thing, using ythe wheat paste of course.

because wheatpasted stuff is bigger and your gonna draw attention regardless.

stickers are smaller and can be put up with out drawing much attention if at all,

but if you whip out a can of clearcoat it might draw attention.

I have a question on wheat pasting. I get the recipe to make it but what paper should i use? can i just use computer paper? (if it helps any im putting it under a bridge so no rain).

I put one up about three months ago under a bridge with computer paper and it&#39;s still in perfect shape. So yeah, that&#39;s legit. But I think that brown craft paper is supposed to be even better.
