all done by hand on overlapping usps 228's
i cut the original sketch out of cardboard so i can just trace it onto the sticker with a pencil, instead of having to resketch the piece every single time.
then I color it, by hand, with Decos and other similar paint markers.

You can tell they're hand painted by looking at the glare from the flash reflecting off the 3rd sticker, and the semi-transparency of the pink dots over the blue paint in the 2nd one.

all completely hand drawn.
the piece start as a traced outline from a master I cut from cardboard, just to speed it up slightly so im not sketching it over and over again. Also so each piece is the same. Then I just mix up the fill.
I have more sketches I need to start producing like that.
The black fly-on-the-wall is a 4 layer stencil.

What's the best material to make a stencil out of? So far what I have been using is cardboard (only made 1 stencil and never wanted to go back to cardboard since it's a bitch to use), regular computer paper and then also a vanilla envelope case thing.

cardboard is good if you get a good cardstock. Not corrugated.
The paper absorbs some of the paint.
glue toothpicks to any skinny peninsulas to strengthen them.

if you absolutely hate cardboard then try acetate.
Clear plastic overhead projector sheets...
Plastic report covers..
whatever.
You just have to be careful with paint building up on it, and when it dries it might make the stencil curl.

another option is to laminate paper or cardstock.

I just put up a few pumpkin stencils on some schools and around. I'll probly get some flicks tm if they aint gone. Kinda disappointed because I only made two stencils and the one got too wet so it was smearing

Just put the stack in the paper tray, move the little slider thing over so it squeezes them, then adjust the size of the paper in the printer settings to match the dimensions of the sticker.

Spraying a clearcoat might even make it bleed but im not sure.

try thinking of other methods for printing.

then use a stamp with opaque red ink for the red text.
I haven't heard of any writers using stamps in their artwork besides myself.

Maste: yeah i have over 200 completed slaps just sitting right now. probably like 750 usps 228's in various vintages. 1000 4x4 blank white thermal labels. 500 8x4 blank white labels. and 750 8.5x14 full sheet blank white stickers. Oh and a huge stack of usps 11b's about 8 inches tall (completely forget the count of those)
I use the 228's for hand-drawn karaks and collabs, and the 11b's for slightly bigger stenciled slaps. I have yet to start using the others.
I could probably trade a bunch but theres really nothing I want that I couldn't just get myself.

thats why they make changes every year to try and counter the writers.
for example:
they added a repeating "Priority Mail" watermark in the background that was really dark one year.
they have progressively made them smaller
they have removed the large blue header which writers incorporated into their designs and some consider to be good style
they have changed the max number per order from 2500 to 500

could they do more to stop us from using the 228s? yes

you prob cant read this but its my idea for a sticker. This is 7 translations for "end", "discrimination", and "tolerance". My original idea was to put "tolerance, end" but that made it seem like i wanted to end tolerance so i changed it to "End Discrimination". My name (exitus) is end in latin so that kinda adds to the coolness. In the bottom itll say it in english so people understand.

Okay. First thanks for critics, but head is not bobs at all bout the body i dont know. Oh, i just fill some stickers with that letraset markers, same as prisma, and tomorow was rain and the fill was washed away lil bit. Here's a few of mine. Not my best, cause that's out on the streets.
The stencil is cool because i can fit it on a post office sticker 228. Lay down a background color and then do the stencil on top. Looks pretty cool. I'd do some to show right now, but i'm all out of stickers, i got 500 on the way though.

I just had an abundance of them one day and couldn't pull off a peice but just started tagging a couple stickers i had lying around, and that one turned out well. I agree that good stickers take a lot of time though. That's one reason i get a little peeved when writers hate on sticker people. yea man i know what u mean. im not a huge sticker guy mostly bc when i started i had no idea how to get stickers. but yea after chilln on the good sticker thread (not toy one) you really see some incredable stickers and you learn that if your under no preture you should spend a good 30-60 min on a sticker. just like black book. your black book stuff should be way better than your throwies

you prob cant read this but its my idea for a sticker. This is 7 translations for "end", "discrimination", and "tolerance". My original idea was to put "tolerance, end" but that made it seem like i wanted to end tolerance so i changed it to "End Discrimination". My name (exitus) is end in latin so that kinda adds to the coolness. In the bottom itll say it in english so people understand.

It's odd, most of the cross, you can see the underside shadowing, except the part between his face and his right (our left) hand. Am i missing something?
But then again, all that white around his head acts as the glow you see in the staind glass and stuff, so it looks good.

first off, stop attaching images to your posts.
Get a photobucket or flickr account, upload your stuff there, then post it by putting the address of the picture in a img tag like this: location of picture

second, you need to sketch for like a year. not trying to be mean, its just the truth, sketching for a long time will make your stuff better. I know my early shit was toy as hell. Not saying im amazing now, but im definitely better than i was.

third, maybe try sketching on lined paper or at the bottom of the paper so you keep your letters even instead of floating around.

no beef, not trying to be mean, im just keeping it real and trying to help.

he obviously cuts them out with lazer beams from his eyeballs.... the cuts around his flys are not uniform therefor meaning he cuts them by and as well as them not being the same which means he more than likely hand draws the individual colorful flies. Patience pays off in ups my friend

the sketchy unclean look is alright, but if you plan on getting into stickers and want to trade a lot that means you'll be making a lot.
If you're making a lot you're going to want to simplify your karaks to clean lines.

when i fade two colors together i put the light one down first, then the dark, and where they meet i rub with my finger a little bit when the dark is still slightly wet.

thanks, i just downloaded illustrator so im messing with it more but i have no idea how to play with borders and shit.
commodious means spacey, like a big town or the interior of a large room.

i just placed an order with 123stickers.com for their 250 dirt cheap vinyl stickers for $18. The file i uploaded has the text on it twice... once i get the stickers i'll cut them in half, and cut off the "printed by 123stickers.com" tagline
