get a little hotel shampoo bottle or a mouthwash container (which works best for me) the next time you go to a hotel, use up all the shit in it or empty it out. then pour some ink in it and stuff a eraiser felt in it and its a fairly good pocket marker, depending on the bottle it has some ok drips too.

the sponge is glued in yes, but the other side of it comes off, just like the lid. then fill that up, pop it back in, tape it up so it dont drip out the side and your good to go.

What are some different options I can use as a nib that I don&#39;t have to buy? I ran out of eraser felt, socks doesn&#39;t work for some reason, and sponges are just bad. No shop around here sells blackboard erasers either. So anything else I can use as a nib?

you gotta remove the cotton filler in the marker. all of it, then fill it about half way with ink, put the nib back on. poke lil holes in the nib (not too big or else the inks just gonna come out, make em just big enough so the marker nib gets really juicy)
and last, when you have the nib back on. put a couple drops of ink on it.

i got 2 dalos, and imo opinion, i dont like them.....they make alot of noise because its a metal ball against the surface...they smell horid, and you dont get good lines out of them..not to mention when you start running out of paint, when you pump it and press it on the surface, it shoots all the pressure out and you cant use it until you tip it upside down for the night

and their too damn bulky too

and to the dude that asked if you can mod a sharpie.....


take a normal fine sharpie marker...preferably a dried out one...(not too dry tho)

take cap off

wiggle the colored part and pull at the same time until it seperates from the grey part

yank out the plastic tube with the ink and foam inside and throw it away

pack the grey cylinde with cotton and make sure you have a little bit of space on the top

fill it with ink until it is comletely flooded and you can see little inkdrops on the cotton and it looks nice and wet

pack the grey cylinder with more cotton....you want it to stick up a little bit to ensure that it will touch the inside part of the nib

put a little bit of super glue on the grey part before you push the colored part and the grey cylinder back together

take a flathead screw driver and stab the nib and roll the marker so you can thouroughly soften the nib

tip it upside down and shake until ink drops come out

do your tag




its acr=tually a really good marker if you do this right

oh , i did something with a painter from elmers , which i had emptied

Rince out the pen , put some stripes of sponge in the markers
fill with gehtto krink and add some shakers
cut the nib so its not round its flat and round writes bigger
make the ghetto krink a bit thinner than usual
press on the nib when your writing , gives mad drips

oh everybody has a streetduster , empty it and leave 2/5 of the greenish liquid chalk shit in it
fill with black ink , should make a green looking permament ink and its actually pretty nice , no pics tho

get a sharpie pull out the ink sponge inside then chop off the nib and the plastic around it fill with rolled felt ,then fill your sharpie tube with your ink or whatever pop the plastik back in place and your good to go.

so I found a well of piolet ink in my room...what ever I could have use better ink.... but anyways I took an old wash cloth, cut it into a strip and rolled it up. rolled it tight and stuck it in a old film canister. used a dropper to pour the ink on the cloth and closed the canister. leave a mark about an inch and a quarter wide. if you put too much in in, like most things it can get sloppy...but its an easy marker to make, easy to conceal and it leaves a good sized mark.....

get a piolt jumbo(black the only fucking good one out there) screw off the top and get the fish/cod oil pills and cut off the top till u can squeez and the oil comes out get 3 pills and empty the oil into the pen then close.it leaves a stain thats hard to get off and stays for awhile.ALso u cando the same thing and just get a tac and poke 3 holes in the nib of the piolt if u do it right you come on with sime nice drips

pilots are pretty sweet if you flood em abit with some xtra ink... just watch out not to over do it :^__^:

my current fav (just cuz its so easy todo... dont have much place to make a mess noawadays) is modding my old flow pens...

-remove the pumpvalve
-take out the nib
-replace nib by glueing a piece if chalkboard eraser (fold in half) in place
-its great for paint based inks and really easy to refill. if u mix your ink/paint right it drips pretty nicely... oh and u might want to add a marble for mixin purposes

no good, when ur doing that u need 2 strips (one long, other one long to but thin[cut it])because of no valve, if u sit down with the ****in nonvalved shet in ur pocket .. u know whats coming when u open it.. my adivce is CLIP the thing strip on the fold..

take everything out of a pilot fill with your choice of ink
wash out nib let it dry, then put it all together. make ink pretty runny cause pilots have hard nibs.

make sure teh nib is clean.
i used red glossy rusto and rubbing alcohol and it looks pretty sexy....

its a dollar store whiteout pen filled with ghetto krink. i suggest you rack-uh, buy a liquid paper one. the original fluid for me was kinda gay (i shook it up, and it came out like milk that wasnt opaque), but they open up easy and write hella nice.

and a note on the pushpops, they make new ones where the bottom is solid. just add a nib, soak with ink, and go!


My favorite homemades-
Gluestick/chapstic
Empty out, drip a good amount of wax in, let cool. Then get some felt, cut and fold it, and stuff it in around the spindle as a nib.(felt is 20 cents at walmart) Make sure it will close without the nib touching the cap, and then drip in ink. In my opinion, Elmers gluesticks are best for this. 2 cm nib on the gluesticks, cant remember chapstic measures.

Push Pop(candy, not ice cream)
Eat up. Rinse it out, drip wax and let cool 3 seperate times, until you completely cover the slider. Then, flip over so its upside down, and completely seal the bottom. Cut and fold up felt, make sure it fits. Then, you are going to want to put in one small pin hole in the cap. If you do not, when you close it, it will push air that will push ink, almost like a pump, throught the bottom of the marker. Then drip in ink. 2.5 cm nib.

Glue tube (glue pen in craft department at walmart, 54 cents)
Empty out. rinse. fill with ink, stuff in felt. if you fill it with paint, you can use the original nib. squeeze for drips. 1 - 1.5 cm nib.

Stuff the entire thing with felt and then drip in ink. more time consuming, but less hassle.
or stuff entire tube with cotton, pour in ink, and then place a piece of solid felt as a nib.

Soak the it with ink, and wait for it to soak the nib. 2.5 cm nib.

NOTE: Its best to use super glue first and then seal with wax on markers that the bottom doesn't seal, such as Push Pops, glue sticks and chapstics.
You can remove the spindle from the chapstic buy using the following method.
stick a pen down the tube of the chapstic on the spindle. if it still doesnt pull out all the way, stick a pen and pry off the wheel with a key or coin. go down the spindle and at the bottom where the threads stop, cut.

put glue on the wheel and then jam the wheel back into the tube. now get a lighter, or a empty tin can and a stove, and melt wax and pour it into the tube. if the wax leaks, don't worry, thats actually a good thing. NEVER SPIN THE SPINDLE EVER AGAIN. Once the wax cools(after about 20 minutes in the fridge to be safe) stuff your nib in there and soak it with ink. good luck. btw, most chapstic markers dont drip.

go to your bathroom sink.. put the shoe box in/around the sink. put on the gloves. move the marker you wish to fill to the box. open it,fill with ink. if some spills the shoe box will soak it up. also keep some paper towels handy.

yo alright heres a dumbass question, whats the right way to swap out colors in a refillable marker? wash it out with thinner? water? something else? whats up?

I'll post pics probably friday or saturday but anywho heres how to make a CHEAP marker for all you poor kids! Also please note that I'm fine tuning the hell out of this so when I've mastered it i'll throw up a huge tutorial.

1 (ONE) Dixon Roll-On Glue (sometimes they go by prang..this shouldnt cost you more then 2 dollars. if you cant afford 2 dollars then you should just put your shit down and leave)
1.50 oz of your ink (use whatever i don't care, this price varies due to whatever you use)
1 Toothpick or fine pointed object (um yea)
pliers (um yea)
hair dryer (your mom should have one)
a atom size of crazy glue/sealant/something good (less then a dollar)

Note: I got all my items are Walmart and for under 4 dollars. Shop around or steal whatever its your choice. Don't each lunch for 2 days whatever you need to do DO IT!


Directions

- Unscrew the cap..its a little tricky so what I did was just use a pair of pliers and unscrewd it

- Dump the glue into the trash and put the cap/tube and top on hot water and let it sit for 10-15 mins

- Take them out and then wash them REALLY GOOD (i put mine in the dishwasher)

- You can either let them air dry or use a hair dryer to dry the tube and cap off

- Finally fill the tube with your selected ink

- Put some crazy glue on a tooth pick and put it around the cap and screw the cap back on

- Put the green cap on and shake well

- go to a wall and tag


Things left to do:

Fine tune the cap
Figure out how good this shit works
Figure out if you relly need crazy glue to hold the cap still

and also will it make a difference if u switch the bucket paint and use primer? and at it wit all that other good stuff

first off, the paint your using has to be oil based, u cannot use primer unless its oil based. second, yes, we do no how to make ink. remember, brake fluid makes the ink your using dry slower but b cautious, using to much will result in shit never drying. i used to think it corroded paint but i was wrong. and i beleave this is in the wrong thread, theres an ink thread, read the first page and u will have everything u need to no

word paly around with differnt shit and see waht works for example take some super india ink,carbon paper,dot 3,rubbing alch. thow them all in a bottle and let it sit for awhile its an ink not the best in opacity but it works nicely

there should be a tutorial somewhere. but basically you freeze the streakers. turn the knob until you can take them out. cut them in half with whatever. gently squeeze the two halves together and screw it back down in the case. oh and remember to wear gloves.

i got the junobo mops and filled one with speedball india ink, thatss really nice, but some of the nibs on mine are not out as far as hey shud be but you can still tag fine with them, vampire mops are markers with a round peice of sponge or foam on them that make it very easy to drip, when you push them up against something the ink comes out of them.

The Tic-Tac Marker
-Get 2 Tic Tac containers...the SQUARE ONES!!!
-Rip off the little white flaps to empty them on BOTH of them (make sure you empty out the tic tacs too!
-Pull out the white plastic things on both of them!
-Super glue them together, top to top....
-Fill one of the clear containers with choice of ink
-Put the white thing in the container with ink...half of it should be out of the top....
-Cover the hole with any kind of nib...(chalkboard eraser...felt...etc..)
-Done! This shit is REAL cheap....cost me $2 bucks to make...(not including ink)
$1 for 2 Tic Tac containers....and $1 for 5 Sheets of White Felt at Hobby Lobby....

^ don't use latex.

Latex paint is water based (i think) and thinning it won't do any good.

Only use oil-based.

Latex is great for ground tags, but if it's all you have good enough. Thin it with water, an you'll be set.

It's special paint. But mixed paint like Junobo, Obnix, or ghetto Krink, will not work in markers.
