Currently, since I don't know where to buy straight ink, this is what I do to make markers (since I live in Hamilton, Canada. The place with no graff shops):

I go to a dollar store, buy a pack of glue pens for 0.99 (each pack has four sticks). I also buy some acrylic paint from the same store for 0.99. Then I go home, empty the glue pens of all the glue, and then put in the paint. Put the lid back on and there I go. Although I haven't tried putting a small bead in it for mixing for drips, so I'm not sure what would happen. My friend, he does the same thing with the glue pen, except instead of acrylic paint, he mixes alcohol with bingo tabber ink, and fills the glue pen with that.

With that said, does anyone in the 905 area know where to buy just ink? Like, a nice purple or violet? I don't want to spend money on some expensive pen, just for the ink in it. I've tried buying normal BIC pens, and stealing the ink from the little tube thing, but it's impossible. Anyone know where to buy some ink (JUST ink)?

Just thought of another idea.. Instead of glue pens, maybe putting ink/paint inside one of those SpiderWriter things (as the ink in the SpiderWriter is pretty.. weird..).

You can get ink at Art Stores. It won't be good ink, but it's good enough.

To get drips with your Acrylic paint, mix it with water. Also, your friend doesn't need to add alcohol to bingo ink, it's pointless. Bingo ink already sucks, and he's just making it worse. If you want good ink that will stain, then make it, or order some off the internet. If you want a really nice purple ink that stains like a mother fucker, buy Garvey.

garvey is probably the best bang for ur buck ink man, depending on how much u buy its usually about a dollar an ounce, i wanna try marsh ink to see if its bettr though...

It's not better, but it's good when you mix it with other inks. I personally think Marsh is a waste of money, Garvey is much better and you get way more ink for the same price as Marsh.

You can refill it with ink, but make sure you clean out the body and nib really well. Soak the nib in alcohol to clean it out, then just scrub inside the body. Refill and your good to go.

Because theyaren't made very well. Have you re-filled it with ink when there ws aint in it before? If there was some paint remains left, it will clog the nib when the ink and paint mix. Make sure you always clean your markers out when switching from paint to ink.

next i just put the grog ink in, because i had just enough left over to use it instead of makin my own, this time i used silver. and then just put the nib on..

i turned the mop over and squeezed it until i could see the ink running through the nib and fillin it up.. i kept sqeezing it until a drop of ink was able to fall out.

i flipped it back over, and poured ome ink on top of the felt.. be careful though, because if u put too much at one time it will just go around the nib instead of through it.

Ghetto Krin will not work in Posterman, it's a pump marker. It will clog your nib.

yea the two i made both had the little plastic thing in it, i just got tweezers and ripped it out then cleaned the bottle out and then started makin it

I think the mop is pointles to buy, but I'll get one if need be.

HTB mini's suck, except for the marker itself. The ink isn't hard to buff, and the markers run out faster than you can say "I love Rogue" Just stick with Zig's, which have nicer nibs anyways.

what all markers does michaels carry that would be good for tagging? we just got one in our town and ive only been once. i didnt really check it out much i just filled my pockets with decos and prismas and left. Im looking for something similar to an OTR. something refillable.

decos are refillable if you want drippy tags that use lots of ink you can stab the nib some with a needle, I don't really remember exactly how, try searching for it.

woodcraft's are also refillable, they come with a smaller chisel tip or ones that are just like otr's 15mm nibs. There are also zig glue markers that are refillable and have a 15mm nib, they're like pocket otr's.

Pump markers are easy to open, you can really only open them by whatever.
Mops you just pull out the nib. There's not manydifferent ways to open a marker, you just open it. If you dont wanna get messy, wear gloves.

Ghetto Krin will not work in Posterman, it's a pump marker. It will clog your nib.

And to make ghetto krink, I'm not even gonna tell you. If you read the first page, you'll know everything you need to know about it.

Homemade Streaker:

3-5 oil pastels (more if its a huge streaker)
some oil paint about the same amount and color as the oil pastels.
a bit of white out. (5 drops)
Some liquid super glue (about 3 drops)
about a 5th of a glue stick or half of a Chapstick (make sure its non-washable so it wont wash away!!)

Melt them all together, pour them into the streak
holder, then put in the fridge (not the freezer or it
will dry out) for 5 mins exactly.

man the best marker that i have made is a duracell battery phone charger that was filled with stain and instead of using a felt chalk eraser i used some hairs off of my cuzins pony toy used tape to keep it together and then taped it to the batterie charger.
That really wasnt that bad of a marker dou.

thats the thing though, the shops all the hell the way out there, i only take the bus, and there's no guarantee anyone might be there because the shop is so small. i was just wondering (mostly hoping) that someone had advice. cus i got some felt and some wood glue, i know that wont last with the solvents in paint and ink thought, and superglue burns felt. and the fact that making a glue sandwich probably wont make the best nib.

I think your supposed to put the glue on the sides of the nib. If you have glue in layers, your nib won't flow.

So if you glue the felt on the sides, you should be good.

but i did find "envelope moisteners"
its essentially an empty bottle with a sponge lid
no cap though
but i widdled away at WD 40 cap and it fits perfectly on it

Yeah. you can refill em.. you can pull of the nib or the nib plastic part thingy..
you can buy those bottles of ink that have the cone like top... but it costs far too much, if you want colour rather than amount.. its much cheaper getting a new one..

The flow regulators have been known to be either GREEN or RED! None the less, it is your choice to remove it....i do...and for taking out the nib....under the felt there is a little plastic circle that gives the felt its shape....just keep pushing it up with your thumbs (the plastic, NOT the felt) and it will pop off....

3. put the cap on and rock the top of it till the whole top comes off.
4.empty out the tide and fill it with INK!!!not paint, it wont work.!!!

6.depress the tip a couple of timestill the ink fills the nid.
7. BOOOM, there ya go!!!!!

do you know how to take apart a kiwi mop? its the same thing, the tip can be pulled out. when u get one you will see a line under the cap, hold the marker perpendicular to your body, and bend the tip away from you, then towards you, you will notice how it seperates!!i dont know how to post pictures yet :(lol
