its easy to make a mop. u just gotta have something with a lid that doesnt leak
actually, thats right. you could probably make a mop or marker out of any container (or two). its not hard, but lets see what you have in store for us razor. :D
and shoot me a pm about this junobo drama...

Just racked a few Prismacolor Premier markers today, but the damned store was understocked so I only got away with a Jet Black marker and a Peacock Blue marker. All of the other colors were ass-ugly. I now know I gotta hit up a Michael's tomorrow and rack one of the 48-pack of the Prismacolor Premier markers.
These markers are pretty damned good for paper, stickers, and anything mildly pourous. Suck ass on plastic or metal.

no they don't work well for stickers... i put up like 30 stickers one day, most of them were done with the TRIA marker and prisma, but prismacolor is just like them... and i came back like 2 days later after the rain and it was almost completely washed away from all the stickers.. ... all those stickers were wasted... those TRIA markers got a sick chisel tip on it.. I'm really feeling my hands with them.. colorings not to bad either.. they blend well and if you work fast ..
in my opinion the best marker for a sticker is a sharpie.. longerlasting color.. wears well against the elements...
ah.... ok... my stickers haven't seen rain. they have a bright color and it wrote pretty well on the semi-gloss stickers i had.

just got back from a trip to Michael's, Walmart, Kmart, and a few other places...
over $300 in stuff.
Prismacolor markers (23 @ $5ea.), Sharpie RT's (15 @ $2 each), Pilots (bunch ranging from $2-15), a few Kiwi's (cheap), some Faber-Castel markers (that are $11 each and they are tiny), some white-out pens ($5 for 2), some Elmers Metallic and Gloss Painters ($2 each), some ChartPak oil-based wood-stain markers ($6 each), Chalk Ink markers [erasable] ($3 each), couple cans of Rusto and Krylon, a can of Montana Alien (had it at Lowes amazingly)
I think it was a good night.
Stole a little bag from KMart to carry it all in once my pockets were so full my pants hit the ground twice in under 50ft.
you just went now or got back at 1am

any one else have problems with the tip on Kiwi's shredding after only a few small tags on relatively smooth surfaces?
i went through 2 kiwis today. both were completely fucked after hitting up just a few places each. i turned to just using em for drips on a few throwies that were done in metallic Rusto.

theyre ok i had to buy a black one because someone forgot to bring their mop to the place they were going on vaca:mad:. ne way. they dont fade that much but nothing gets buffed where im at but im guessing they dont stain. i wouldnt use it for drips tho. they come out as big as the line itself and you waste ink

1. steal em
2. empty the glue out
3.with these there is no plastic spiral and if you use thin ink or paint it will just gush out when you turn them upside down so i used thicker paint than useual also the tips are NOT a fiber they are a type of pourous (sp? ) foam so ruff surface's will just shred it up or rip it off and you will just dump ink all over your shoes
4.go slow when you tag so you can control the drips
5.has enough for about 2 or 3 drippy tags (1oz bottle)

i think i was kinda at fault... got hella wasted and started drawing on people, and me and a friend of mine started coloring in peoples tattoos with markers and paint pens... made one guys skull/flame/snake tattoo go from typical black/green/red flash style to pink/purple/pastel blue/yellow...
EDIT: Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens work great for black booking and filling in tattoos. metallic Prismacolor Premier markers are a bitch to wash off of skin when you use them to cover up tattoos.

I heard about it the other day. I just tried it out & it's really not bad for a quick mop... but it's not as permanent as oil based paints. The windex thins out the latex, makes it drippy, & helps it dry faster. It's not my first choice... but it works. Just use it in spots that wont get buffed.

deoderant mop:
get one of those roll on deoderant containers and a screwdriver, put the screw driver in between the ball and the outside and move it around the the ball and then pop the ball out. empty out what ever's in there and use a hair dryer or a cloth to dry the inside. pull off a stirp of felt froma chalk board earaser and make sure it fits nicely in the top. fill the container with your choice of ink and put the earaser nib on. put it against an upright surface and squeeze lightly untill the nib becomes nice and juice with ink. go and destroy shit!

well... I didn't leave em out... I didn't take em out, or anything for that matter. I was bored and didn't have much time, so I just racked a few black leather dye Kiwi's and hit up plastic and wood surfaces... All of the tags are still there and a few the plastic ones look like people have tried to clean/buff them off but on slightly faded/smeared them... the tags themselves are still intact and legible from a good distance, just with a gray halo around them

This could be a revolution....haha
Well, i haven't seen anybody post it...but, with your kiwi......it goes 2 ways. Leave the valve in, and you get no mess, but ruin the nib faster and not as good drips...leave it out. SICK drips, but a mess and a flooded cap...
Well, i seeked for the best answer for this problem. And i may have found it. Im 90% positive on its success (i only tested with the polish inside of it...hey! Its 4:43 am over here!!! You try NOT being lazy at a time like this!) and i think i may have it...
Take out the valve. Now get some scissors. You know those 3 green spiraled legs on the valve? Well cut out the middle segment of 2 of the legs. JUST THE MIDDLE SEGMENT, AND JUST 2 OF THEM....I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH! Now, CAREFULLY put the valve back in JUST like it was...making sure its completely lined up with the little hole inside the nib, and pop it back in perfectly...make sure its not like tilted, or not all the way in....it must be perfectly put back in just like it was....it make take a little longer to put it back in straight because of the mod....but its worth it...
Now after this mod, i was able to hold it over keyboard and squeeze it without fear...because NOTHING dripped out of it...even when held upside down...BUT...when i BARELY push the nib down, it completely flooded and dripped...:D ....somebody please clarify this with ghetto krink and a new kiwi....:D And post results.....!

you could probably just use some other pump style marker
i fucked up the nib on a kiwi but i kept the nib on an old window marker and put it on the kiwi bottle. its the same but shorter. anyway it flows way better with the valve in.
any one think you could trim the nib on a kiwi so you dont have to push thru the foam so hard.

you might be able to do this but you would have to be super precise and use a very sharp exacto knife..
I just would not recommend it, but you down trim around the edges and make the circle smaller, if you want.. Just do it with an unused nib to avoid messes..
:)

Oh and one more thing, in trying to thin down the foam so you dont have to push so hard, it is impossible to do so without encountering the problem of the nib itself being uneven..

Haha....well to tell you the truth....we MAY be very close....our stuff SMELLS, LOOKS, and WRITES EXACTLY like Junobo....if we are right, or close....it definitelly IS very, very, extremely creative of a mix.....seriously, most of you disregard how it occurs everyday! You'd understand if you knew how we make it....WE ARENT SAYING IT IS JUNOBO, BUT IT SURE AS HELL WRITES, LOOKS, AND SMELLS JUST LIKE IT!!! Plus, ours is cheaper and we sell colors on demand :D...so i think you need to think more before you judge...:D

this shit is really underated, i never really see anyone talk about it on BS but what type of bottles do u like to use for tagging on the ground. I know you can use Ketchup, Mustard, Glue, and water bottles as containers to hold the paint in but a ketchup bottle is way too dam big to carry around. im guessing the best bet wud be an empty glue bottle..
smooth_nuts
08-11-2007, 10:29 PM
your right glue bottles are the way to go
tuckfoys
08-11-2007, 10:32 PM
yup, glue bottles and acrylic paint. Acrylic is much thicker and flows slower..so u can get a nicer hit up outta it rather than thinned bucket paint

lol nah im sayin everyones so buisy lookn at the walls and flickn the rooftops that they dont think to look on the ground..
I read a few pages back about envelope moisteners from Staples, and figured I'd get one and try it out.
Needless to say when I found this (http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&prodCatType=0&catalogId=10051&productId=10339&cmArea=SEARCH), I was a bit disappointed. No cap to be found, the sponge sucked ass, and the thing practically exploded ink on me when I first tried it out. So I did a bit of experimentation, and came up with a fairly decent, pocket-sized mop. Here it is:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Junai/Photo0025.jpg
The first thing I did with it was rip off the foam and the little piece of cardboard it was sitting on. (I think that damn cardboard is what caused the major flooding in the first place...)
Next, I ripped up an old t-shirt(since I have no felt to work with around here.) and rolled it up, stuffing it into the neck of the thing.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Junai/Photo0029.jpg
Once I saw I could get the clear-ish piece on like a cap, I filled the fucker with water and shook it around like a drunk would shake a baby. Not a single leak, anywhere. I even squeezed it and shook it, not a drop got anywhere, so this thing is relatively safe to carry around in your pocket. If anyone's curious about a size comparison, here it is next to a Pentel White.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/Junai/Photo0033.jpg
There you go. A nice, portable, 2 oz. mop you can get for free. All you need are deep pockets and an old shirt. Or felt, if you're not a lazy-ass like me.
Oh, and before I forget, the new 'cap' has a tiny hole in it, so I just covered it with a piece of electrical tape. Better safe than sorry, right? Also, don't tighten the cap on too tight, or you'll end up pushing the nib right into the bottle. I'm trying to work out how to fix that, but for now, only tighten it down until you feel a little resistance.
Enjoy.

AMAZING first post....you will go far, my child....
Heh, thanks. I've been lurking for a while, waiting for the other toys to ask the questions for me. I figure the best way to get into graff is to read up first, ask questions later. :D
After all, I've seen what you guys can do to toys like me. o.O;

Well, if that's the case, then I do have a question for you guys...
Once I start using felt for my nibs, do I have to get the felt off of chalkboard erasers? Or can I get get a sheet or two from Michaels? Is there a big difference between the two? I'm planning on experimenting a lot more with the envelope moistener mops, so I want a lot of options to choose from.
