ehh i got a paint set that my cousin use too use.. i got all this paint but dont know what to do with it becuase i suck at makening homade shit.

I got Acryx(Acrylic) paints.....

help me put these paints to use...

and ASTRO i saw the post bout that and i think the dude said to get a candle and put a douple drips of wax in the bottom of it to keep it from leakin, and ya krazy glue will hold the nib in, and i guess it could be paint or ink or sponge or w/e but it might leak if u use a sponge, but dont take my word my name says NEWBIE :rolleyes: go try it thats what i do when im bored i expiriment and its only chapstick if it doesnt work........

last night when i was fiddling around with a refillable marker inspiration struck, i think you could make a sick ass mop if you took the vlave system off a kiwi bottle(foam tip and all) and were to hot glue or super glue it to the open end of a marker tube(without the marker valve system of course) you could get a mop effect without having to carry around a large kiwi bottle, a mini mop&#33;. imma try it later on today and tell all if it was good or not.

Just bought a pentel white, the one thats pencil thin (they didn&#39;t have the broad ones nor mean streaks) So anyways, whenever I shake it tip down and start tagging, the ink leaks from the resevior (sp), to the pen, and on my hands. yeah, it would work. but not that much ink would come out and when it did comeout you&#39;d get a tiny line. than and because its spherical the ink would run to the bottom and it wouldnt go to where you could write on a wall. youd have to write on a flat surface just to get a shitty line.

alright guys, i have a couple of quick toy questions...i&#39;m looking to make a kiwi mop, and i know everyone should know how to make them. i got my kiwi bottle and emptied it out, and i plan on using the original nib, i just don&#39;t know what kind of paint or ink i should fill her up with. i don&#39;t really have anything at my disposal, i like to get paint from sears. does paint work in a mop, or should i find some ink to use instead? any suggestions for the best thing to use in a kiwi mop if i just want nice black lines without much drips? thanks.

idk if its already been said, but you can make these crazy little markers out of chapstick containers.
1. empty out chapstick container
2. take out the part that pushes the chapstick up.
3. drip candle wax into the bottom making it water tight.
4. fill with ink.
5. glue in any kinda nib you like.
6. keep in small bag.

alirght i have come to my conclusion that the best and easiest home made marker is a kiwi shoe polish mop with a sushi style chalkboard eraser instead of the sponge already on there then wrap tape around the eraser and the mop it works with home paint ink to

bingo marker marker
get bingo marker (just but one for a buck, no use getting busted) of the color of your choice
take off nib and empty ink into a bottle.
take a second bottle and mix some of the ink with white (or w/e) thinned paint
put that back in the marker
put nib thing back on
its good on smooth surfaces but the nib gets really beaten up by rough stuff.

get some silver rustol paint and put some paint thinner in it i think the ratio i heard somewhere on this thread was 2/3 paint 1/3 thinner

i couldnt find jsut silver in rusto so i guess their silver is called aluminum....thats what i got (bucket paint)

and yes paint works in a kiwi its probly the best thing to use

Just go with the shoe polish bottle, rusto and a little bit of paint thinner. Don&#39;t listen ratios, just go with what you want to try. I had pictures of one I made... sadly, lost it. Here are my instructions tho.

#1: Get a fat Pilot marker

#dos: Twist the top off, with the felt and all.

#Threve: Remove all the shit on the inside... that big chunk of filler, all the ink, etc. wash it out real good.

#4: Fill the empty marker with whatever you want... an ink that&#39;s just a little bit thinner helps because of the thickness of the chalkboard eraser.

#5: Cut off a strip of eraser, fold it over, and replace the old felt with the new strip. If you want a really fat line, cut the strip of eraser in half after you&#39;ve put it through the hole.

#666: Put the cap back on, twist in on as hard as possible for superior leak protection. Wrap the top with electrical tape so that you can cap the marker with a film canister. You should have enough tape on there that the film canister stays on pretty firmly.

#Sebin: Write on shit.

my all new fav is these like mini containers that u can find at the doller store that have this shitty gooey paint in them already and that have tiny little holes in the top just big enuff for the little kiddys to put the paint brush in(with is what there really for)

you get them in big packs of like 20 of these things for cheap..
then emty them, fill them with ur own ink/paint.
then u have to cut ur self a tiny nib off of a chalk board eraser.
few drops of crazy glue to hold in place and u have these tiny pens that give off desent size tags and drip and flow Amazingly.

just found that one yesterday and last night i went out and it was wwaaayy harder to emty then i thought... very nice pen for fast and smooth tags.

u could try toothpicks if u poke a hole at either side of the container and run it through the nib it works u just gotta cut off the ends and seal the holes i used whiteout before. its not the easiest setup to do but works nice after

I tested em (two) out with water, and it had no leaks....but the water ran through the eraser nib....So I was wondering, since I&#39;ma use thinned paint, how many parts paint to how many parts paint thinner should I use so that it wouldn&#39;t go through like that water?

depends on the paint thickness that your usin and how thick your nib is but its usually about 2/3 paint 1 thinner. I&#39;d mix it in a seperate container first to stir and make sure its liquidy enough. I&#39;ve made a few mops with too much thinner or old paint that thinned too much its just trial and error. just make sure your nibs completely dry first

I think all markers will bleed. If you want to keep the lower page clean just stick a spare piece of paper underneath.

the problem it&#39;s that it&#39;s not ink it&#39;s acrylic paint and the last time i put this in a
non-otr marker the bottle melted ok ?
