If you really MUST pay for your shit, then just stick to something uber simple. Like colored pencils. Pro-tools DO NOT equal Pro-Graff. Practice with something cheap until you save up to purchase expensive markers like a good little consumer.

Only paintmarkers ive ever used were either small ones (decos, paintys, zigs, woodcrafts, etc) or home-made mops, etc. I tried one of them Prismacolors (cuz I read that they blend nice) colorin this picture actually, but I hated em. So now Im stickin with paintmarkers only, none of that crayola/prisma bull.

get the ded mop. krink mops have small nibs. so i think id rather get ded. dont get a nyc mop, theyre just over priced home made mops. dont use homemades unless you can make them so theyre not messy. which doesnt apply to me. so get ded mop.

im not an amazing legendary graffiti artist, hell im not even close to even seeing the "winners circle" of artists that are known and arent legends or what-have-you. but i do what i do. sure 800 thousand people might say "bro, your shit is wack, go home and stop writing." but that doesnt really phase me because im still going to keep at it and improve if anything, regardless. i do it for the love of it and no1 can take that from me.

and for the record, im still not seeing what is so garbage about it. sure its basic, the colors DO work together, even tho that top half is colored like shit, doesnt matter because the drawing is to get an idea for how the colors and everything would look together. sure the lines in the drop are a little overdone and not even placed correcty, of course theres one too many bubbles and no shading at all, n quite honestly yea the blue to green shading is a little half ass. but the final product is on the wall and thats dead up the final cut of what it will be no matter the medium i use. :rolleyes:

Yeah its going to get filled with some basic homemade ink, and no I don't expect to get any drips with it. I have other mops for drips (12-4-6's) and bigger mops for larger work (kiwi's and large glue mops)

i got a uni posca paint maker about a year ago fuckin sucks but i drained out there paint and put my own in its alright but the paint has to be really thinned still have it u can actually get replacment nibs buy getting a otr flowpen nib and cut it into the shape of a posca nib

"universal" inkjet printer cartridge refill packages (like as seen on tv) come with some decent inks if you wanna throw them in for color in your homemades/ink mixtures and some come with a small black ink container that you can make into a discreet squeezable pocket marker. flows pretty nice with a chalkboard eraser nib.

btw, the pic is just to show the line quality of the pocket marker and the blue is with just brake fluid added, nothing else.

yes you can. if the body of the marker is metal, you can dent it by pusching it hard against the corner of your desk or something till theres a smallish dent. by doing this the pressurewill increase allowing the paint to flow through the nib faster.

heres a little homemade that i keep on my keychain. its a sharpie, but i dont use the sharpie nib. to use it i take apart the body and write with the "tampon". put a chalkboard eraser as nib and filled with my ink. took out the original cotton shit that had sharpie ink in it and replaced it with cotton so my ink wouldnt get mixed with sharpie ink. the body is one of those sharpie minis.

i have a giant glue marker like that but instead of a sponge or felt nib, its like a plastic sponge. I'm sure it will hold up better than a felt nib, but may not make the greatest lines because its harder.
I haven't tried it yet as I haven't got a decent enough ink to put in it.

Right now I'm just using a penink/methblue/dot3 ink in my squeeze-less minimop and its been pretty damn sick. clean lines, or a few runs if i let the ink saturate the nib before tagging

well it wasnt that exact one. it was the two in one glue marker. the red one. the nib was just a thin cloth of fabric over a plastic frame. then you screw that frame onto the glue marker. thiers no valve system. its just me. but i didnt like them. if you have one id suggest running paint straight threw it. dont even mind about the thinner. runnin thin ink would get uncontrolable drips.

glue markers are some of my favourites to use. kinda messy but with the squeeze body u can get some insane drips. the ones i had u could just replace the nib but u had to tape around the threads or it would leak from there. i dont see why everyone hates them.

you can enhance that recipie and make it semi decent by adding quite a bit of gloss to the mixture.. i would never do this.. but i had done when i was starting off.. and its a great mop filler which seems to be on tap.

4/7 liquid shoe polish
1/7 gloss like krylon gloss, or ceramic gloss. (polyurethene wont work for this, the paraphin in the shoe polish is too waxy, and theres not enough alcohol)
1/7 alcohol 91%+
then add a few drops of break fluid and to make it darker.. add some pen ink sticks in with it.
