yes, their a pain in the ass when you get down to about half of the paint left...its just about a big of a pain in the ass as tooth paste when your running out...you get damned frusterated trying to get that last bit outjust get a dalo pump marker...same shit, better usage

I know of lots of mops that are sold for specific uses that could just be emptied out, but I'm more interested in finding a supplier of empty mops.
I've been searching for days trying to find something but the closest thing I can find to a supplier of lots of empty mops is the Oriental Trading mops.
They only come 12 in a box though and Krink uses ones just like them (if not the same ones)
If I can't find a different supplier then I guess I'll just have to order lots of those but I was hoping to find something better, or at least different.

I just racked a pair of Zig Woodcrafts. Do you guys use the paint in them at all or just empty and refill them with your own shit? I also grabbed a glass marker.. I can fill it up with flowpen ink right? I'm pretttty sure it has the valve system shit in the nib.

What about the woodcrafts? Can I dump my flowpen ink in there too?

You can use the paint in the woodcrafts if you want, but it's easily buffed so use different paint or ink in it if you want more permanent stuff. I don't know about the other questions though. If you are going to put different paint or ink in the woodcraft though don't pump it until you put it in!

I believe it defuses easily as well which basically means that its becomes a gas easily from a liquid so if you are in a closed space with that for too long you are fucked.

Sorry for the double post but this one has nothing to do with the other one.

I just customized a dried up fine tipped Pilot marker I had because the nib was too thin to tag with (in my oppinion) and it bled awfully on paper so it was double useless. First I needed a new ink to fill it up with so I just did the old alcohol and pen mix. I put about 30 black and a about 10 blue pen ink tubes in a big red plastic cup with about a fifth of 70 percent alcohol (it was all I have). I let that sit overnight.

Next I took the nib and the ink tube out of the pilot leaving an empty shell. I just took some regular felt (the kind that comes in a sheet) and rolled it up and put it in the top. Then I rolled electrical tape around the top of the body so that the cap would still fit.
Next I took out the nib, poured the ink into the marker, and put the nib back in. The marker looks like this:

It flows well, covers well, stains well, is free, and has a nice purplish color.
Theres a tutorial very similar to this in All City but using marsh and garvey so I figured I would see if pen ink would work.
I havent had a chance to try it on the streets but I will get some pictures when I do. The one thing I am slightly worried about is the felt nib getting ruined because most people use the sturdier dry eraser felt.

no. if you do that the insides of the marker will start to melt. india ink is VERY corrosive. dot 3 makes the ink last longer.

In other news while browsing through a derailed car in the yard today I found
a discarded markal metal ballpoint paint marker. It is completely full but the flow control
is clogged with paint. I tried to clean it with a bath of paint thinner, then a bath of turpentine,
and then a bath of paint thinner and turpentine but I cant seem to get it out.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you ever get caught and they count how many times you've tagged something, deny everything except if they caught you red handed working on something, if so don't deny just that one thing. Tell the officers that that is the first time you did it and you were just copying the other guys name and style cause you like it. but I have nothing to make ink with, but I saw this jumbo ass dry erase marker, the nib is huge on it and it writes nicely.

The problem with dry erase is that it erases when dry (duh). You should be able to pop the bottom of it out revealing this cottony type shit that is the ink reservoir. Just wait till you get some pens and isopropyl alcohol and make some pen ink for it.

I got osme window markers, that are bingo dabbers pretty much, and i wash it out and i kept washing but it seems like the window writing ink, not all of it got out, will it effect my ink a whole lot of theres a little bit left?

a lot of kids have been asking about what paint markers are best so I threw together a little list of the best colors from each company:



it really depends on what color you want. I'll run through a couple.

Sharpie Paints: make sure you get oil based and not poster paint.
sharpie makes the best black and yellow paint markers. their white is shitty and does not cover.

Deco: black is not as good as sharpie but better than painters, most of the colors are good but their white is the worst out of any company. Also the light colors dry up very fast, I have to rack new ones every couple weeks if I don't use it everyday.

Elmers Painters: Pink is awesome from this company, the yellow isn't too opaque but the crown of this company is their white. it's almost like using white out! Shit's so opaque and flows perfectly. These are also usually the easiest to rack cause so many places carry them. (Wall Mart, Jo Anns fabrics and all the obvious places like Michales)

also some random best colors:
Orange: painters or Deco
Red: sharpie red (but it's lighter than the cap color)
silver: deco is the only company out of these 3 to make a bullet tipped silver marker, but if you can fink Sakura silvers they are the best, they're usually in the scrap booking isle by the microns.
black: Sharpie
Yellow: sharpie
