hey noxi, were you able to unscrew the top blue part that holds the nib of this marker from the lower part of it cause i remember trying this with this marker many times and it never worked so i could never get out all the cloth and clean it out or put in my own ink, thanx!

yea i did. It was easy all you have to do is twist it like a regular bottle. If you cant its prob cuz there is loctite or glue on it so just get some pliers and unscrew it.

Has anybody used Copic sketching markers? Just wanted to know how long do they last?

def refillable, but i imagine the flow isnt too good, becasue the nib is sooo wide, and the body is so skinny, so when you pump it to juice the nib it might be hard to get the ink to flow all tghe way to the edges

I ordered some OTR.030's and the things had sat in storage so long it was clumped up and dried inside of em. So I soaked them in acetone and filled one with my black recipe. I may have clipped the spring a little too short to make a full contact to make a proper seal in the pump so that thing suffered from some leaks. The other is filled with pilot chrome..

in interior painting. when you use a spray gun to paint walls it dosent stick as well. but when you use a roller it sticks much better. so i was thinking the nib of the mop may affect the way paint sticks or ink stains. like mabye if you got some spikes under your nib so when you pressed down it would make scratches and prepare the surface for seepage. or mabye if you made a nib out of cotton and steel wool. yeah dog steel wool.

take apart the white top from the clear container on both

throw away one of the white tops

with one white top and 1 of the containers make it so the white top is reversed and sitting on top of the opening,

then glue it to gether and tape it up

fill it with ink

glue a nib onto it

So my homies and whatnot. I ordered the Molotow Masterpiece (empty) along with three replacement nibs, because you know how some freights like to destroy nibs and it couldnt hurt to have a buck up, or three.

Anyway, I'll post flicks of the style I'm working on with it, if you want.
I highly recommend this marker to the highgrade writer whos looking for something thats going to give that extra MUL attitude because, simply put, this marker Will make you look. Give it an order and just order it up yourself and get it empty or filled. I prefer empty because I know the quality of my inks.

I don't know if anyone else does this, but you can color white-out pens.
If you take apart a sharpie and get out the ink tube (wear gloves, it gets messy), and you squeeze the ink to one end (be careful), then open up your white out pen, and squeeze the tube until you get a bunch of drops of ink come out, you may need more than one of the same color sharpie, depending on how defined you want the color to be.
Close it up, and you have a colored white out pen.
You can also fill them up with inks or GK, GK works especially well.

Anything, if exposed to oxygen long enough, will dry up. Unless ofcourse it's 100% oil based, because oil just doesn't evaporate the same as liquid such as alchohol based inks.
There are some sick Ink Recipes in the INK Recipe forum. You may have better luck there..


Alright so I broke down, for the most part, the structure of the Molotow Masterpiece for those of you who remain skeptical. The highlighted green is showing the Patented Eight Pathways through which the ink reached the entire area of the nib, via pump system..
It is like A gas dispersing over ground. Ex... Fog over a field.

The process could be best described as diffusion. Sort of like a virus taking over your body's Red blood cells. The ink consumes the nib, and as soon as all is soaked, you write and once you pump the pump system again, it equally disperses the ink throughout the nib..

I can't safely tell you the stock ink in either one of the two already filled markers will write as well in the nib as my ink recipe does, but I would hope it does. The trick is to evenly sand down the nib on the entire width of it, and get it juiced up before writing. I used a fourty grit sandpaper and flattened down the edges of the nib, making sure to have smooth lines

I have always had this theory that if you lightly apply heat, for a long enough time, the body may naturally soften because the molecules will disperse enough to be a squeezable marker.

Now in reality, I am probably highly wrong.

if it isnt hdpe or pp then soak it in some acetone for a while and it should be a little better. or just squeeze it back and forth until its easily squeezable

I noticed with my oi.nk style mops they softened even more than before with the Acetone I used in my gk.. (klean strip Acetone) It is a fiberglass resin thinner.

on pump valve markers, like molotow empties or w.e.
you can use needles and stuff or drill a hole in the nib, and install a little tube liek a straw, but make sure its below the sruface, that way it doesnt scrape when your write

so then if you write as normal it loooks normal, but if you juice the nib while your writing it spits out ink and you can get drips. but im assumign thsi kills ink fast, but who cares

The straw Idea is a very sick Idea. I'll go to walmart and get a thick walled straw, but small hole and use it on my Molotow 611.

I'll let you know when I come across a straw for that marker nib, my only hesitation is the fact that I don't have a replacement nib for this marker. I wish I had ordered some like I did for the masterpiece. (I ordered three for that one, lol)
