for real though, fuckin bingo dabbers and kiwi mops are MORE than most actual markers like flowpens and molotows... i dont see the point in spending more or even risking a charge to get some sub-par equipment... if ur broke and u need money go get some

anyone used the montana hardcore? the flows really uneven on the 30mm and larger its pretty much a markwell knockoff in my opinion and the stock ink doesnt cut through buffs at all it just smears around to the point that the ghost is just a big cloud shape. k71s are great imo i just used that for size reference

Love silver uni-paints, silver deco colors with a fattend nib, white-out pens, and mops.

they're all just too buttery. not really down for fat paint markers unless your style suits it, otherwise it just looks tacky. my 2 cents.

silver decos fade coppers are where its at

this wouldnt work at alot of places simply because most stores inventory technices and registers wont allow them to just swap i out and leave, it usually takes ringing the 1st purchased one, then the second the put that color one back into their system..ontop of that, most of the time the barcodes are on both the can and the lid, and not often will their scanner beable to reach the can and lid, and that means you have to take the lid off for them to scan it and lift the can for them

i guess it would work at family owned "old fashioned" hardware stores but then again, i wouldnt be racking from there because the only place those exist are in small towns and you can pretty much forget going there again, not to mention the whole town knowing you did that in a matter of days

plumbererer

you wouldnt believe it, but colored sharpies make for great outliners. i use them all the time. just do your fill first then outline, or just be extremely careful when you are filling in. hope that helps. you just need to know how to control the bleed.

the fabric on the pens wore down really fast causing it to drip a tad more and one of them leaks but for only a dollar what can you expect?

I think it is just a way to thin out the paint as well as corrode away at the surface of what ever you put it on. It is just a cheap readily accessible means to ink (paint). It works pretty well so far too. So I ain't hatin.

Just because someone says to do something doesn't mean it's right, JUST SAYIN.

If you want REAL stain, mix your ink with bleach and house cleaner.
Make sure the cleaner has ammonia in it.

nerd+_+
11-29-2010, 12:13 PM
It is in multiple resources...It has been tested...I have tested it... IT WORKS... Is it real "ink"... NO... It is DIY. It drips nice, readily available, and easy.

If I wanted REAL stain... I would buy ink. But for dicking around with some different types of medium this works.
For a .50 cent marker and about 8 dollars to get everything you need to mix for ink it works as an economy stain.

Thanks for the tip though Flawless Victory.

I call bullshit.

nerd+_+
11-29-2010, 07:44 PM
I personally could give two shits about the corrosive properties only the thinning. BUT for the sakes of this dick length contest. Brake Fluid is naturally corrosive. They add non corrosives to the fluid in order to cut down on this. Dot-3 Brake Oil has a low amount of these corrosion inhibitors. When exposes these additive tend to break down.

Now unless you all want to dangle your cocks till the judge gets here I bid you a fondue...

Talking about sketchingmarkers/ markers for canvas work etc, the regular fine point paintmarkers.. How is the best way to keep them running for a longer period of time? These bastards seem to glog very easily, at least for me. Most of my Poscas have gotten fucked up, some of them, the paint doesn't flow through or it flows through very unevenly. Have tried cleaning the nib for some of them, but it didn't help very much.. I know, if you let them sit around for a long period they get tried out etc. But I have had markers, that I haven't used maybe a couple weeks and already they are messed up. (Poscas).. so it seems like they are quite crap.

hey I'm new to this site so i don't know if this question's already been asked, but i don't know what to search for so there's not a lot i can do. Anyways, my question is this: I occasionally see tags and monikers and whatnot done in some kind of 3-dimensional paint. It sticks out like half an inch at most, looks permanent, I've seen it in black mostly. So what the hell is that? some kind of construction marker? glue? something you melt? Where can i get that and can you make it?
Help would be appreciated, no one else i ask knows what I'm talking about.

Okay so I made some paint a while ago.
Put it in a mop used it a bit.
And now my mop is warping? thats what some people called it
the plastic seems to get thinner?
Its just some ghetto junobo with only paint thinner added

any ideas on how it could happen?
or how to prevent it?

PS. I put the remaining paint i made in a 1L bottle, same happened...

I've got a question here. when using a marker out on the street, sometimes you write on certain surfaces without noticing that they're a bit dusty, either because it's night, or because the dust's color is kinda clear
so you do a tag on it and your marker's nib collects all the dust and gets real dirty and it won't write anymore.
I know that I should touch the surface to check for dust before tagging, but in the cases when you forget, how do you fix the nib or clean it on the spot? without having to actually do a whole operation on it? :P

Over saturating the nib normally works for me, just pump the valve a few times or give that mop a good squeeze.

These were mentioned a few pages ago. Still havent picked one up but we sell them at my work. Its 7 oz and you can fill it with any thin liquid, its made for bike lubricants, but then you hand pump it to pressurize it with the top. i fucked around with one a lil bit and its seems like it would work really well actually. Ink or thin paint would run through it pretty easy. and it gets good pressure. Think the cap may even be interchangeable.

You can have blended colors with Junobo paint Nah. Even gradient with your tags. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKj8nV79yC8

And bandit don't you have a Michaels store around you? Every one I've been to has had a little thing of individual prisma's that are waiting to be racked.

ribcage
08-08-2011, 05:44 PM
^ha! any michaels within a 15 mile radius of where im at doesnt do that anymore. they leave a little plastic package with the word blue pm-35 prisma on it or for the decos its just blue deco on the shelf. YOu then have to bring the plastic package up to the counter and they go to the back and get em for you

get sharpies, only colors you can blend are ones that are hue related, so your yellows to oranges to reds or green to blues to darker blues. But their cheap, and last a little while. If you dont suck they wont be that bad.

No a big fan of that. I had one that i made. I used it on like 4 tags, then i gave up and threw it away. The foam tip tears up on concrete and wood. Maybe if u stuck to street sign u could pull it off?

I use pilot jumbos and sharpie industrials. My pref depends on the day.
Elmers Painters are good, but they dry out and dont have much paint in em. BUT, there's something to be said for being able to pick them up at Walmart. I use them for body painting mostly.

Anyone use anything better for body painting??? I do that a lot, so it'd be worth ordering something better?

i know alot of you probably think this will be a newbie toy as fuck question, but i do actually write and am usually good with markers, but
how the FUCK do you unscrew a uni chalk marker?
http://www.uniball.com.au/pwe8k.html
one of those.

i know they dont say refillable but i know i can do it if i take the time and effort.
anyone have experience/tips?

plumbererer
11-26-2011, 02:47 AM
if it doesnt unscrew clockwise, try to unscrew it counterclockwise. and a protip, sometimes they use a thread locker to keep it nice and airtight so get a rubber band (bigger/thicker the better) wrap it around and you get more grip that way. i think those markers look pretty dope filled with something else obv.
