i was offered no help whatsoever when i was new to graffiti, i got better the real way. observing graff around my area, and just working my ass off to try and get better.

ohh dont worry, i got that covered. i just have the small ones to send out for trades so i can use regular sized envelopes. this was one of the bigger ones that ive done before. if you know what i dhl sticker is, well this is around 20-25 of them together.last summer, i used to go out putting up stickers probly 5-6 nights a week. its addicting and im physced to get back into it.

I wanna have quite a few challenges (like 30 maybe) and each ones gonna have a certain amount of points assigned to it (maybe there could also be an extra credit thingy for the challenge where you could get a few more points), but you get the general idea...

But I need more challengezzz... I currently have...7 mellow.gif Of course Imma come up with some more tonight, but if any of you have any ideas just tell meh and I&#39;ll add them (no retards please... you know who you are...)

The ones I got so far areee:

Hit a throwie on a rooftop

Hit a throw on a billboard

Paste up 5 speach(sp?) bubbles with your name in it - not too sure about this one

Put up a multilayer stencil 5 times

Hit up on a police car (not expectin many people to get this one)

Put 5 pasties on different doors

well... you get the general idea, they&#39;re anything to do with graffiti (stickers, pens etc..)

That&#39;s not Wreks work. That&#39;s a project I did, and I gave Pommier credit for it too. And It&#39;s not even a bite. It&#39;s a direct copy of one of his works that I used for an anti gang campaign I did. The "Thug Life" part is my idea.

These were not stickers, they were wheatpaste posters and that bunny embodied the exact image I wanted to portray, the same as if someone were to stencil or use a picture for a wheat poster.

i have only experimented with paste at home, and my batch went bad from sitting in my room for like 8 months or something, but i just thought of something/

you know those kiwi mops with like a brush instead of a nib? i think those would be pretty dope for paste, and you wouldnt have to worry about clogging because its just bristles not a foam nib so it would flow anyhting thick.


also, instead of making your own wheatpaste, if you are very lazy, or dont like making stuff, you can buy a bucket of wallpaper paste powder or compound in like a quart size for i think around 10 dollars. then you just mix a little with some water, and use it. i think itd be a waste of money if you want to do something huge though, or use it often.

im gonna make a solid attempt at getting flicks today, but no promises kids.
edit: dot i mailed your pack yesterday, and dufus you should get yours soon as i think i mailed it friday.
im pretty sure everyone i owed or promised trades to have had thier packs sent.

lol i know that usps arent the only things but i was using them for reference umm could someone go in depth on how to make your own paste ( like amounts of stuff) and how to make it transparent thanks in advance

Easiest paste recipe...

Cup of flour.
Tablespoon of sugar.
Water.
Big pot.

Cook it slowly adding water and stirring constanly. Bring too boil. Try and keep it very runny, it will thicken after it cools and you want it to be able to squirt through a squirt top water bottle without having to press it against the wall and squeez hard. It might take a few batches to get it down, but it&#39;s cheap and effective. I&#39;ve got Thug Life posters that are still up solid after 3 months or so and they&#39;re a bitch to peel.

Other tips- Bring a paintbrush, hand width or so. Big enough to spread paste quick, small enough to shove in yer pants and bounce. keep it in a plastic shopping bag. don&#39;t lose the bag.

Roll up your posters and fold up in yer hoody so they&#39;re concealed. Don&#39;t be afraid to crunch them all up. They&#39;ll flatten out after you drench them in paste. And don&#39;t forget to put a coat of paste over the poster too. Acts as a sealant. Good luck yo&#33; ;) Get up BIG

its just flour and water, itll wash out of the pot then you put it away and your mommy wont know you made your own glue with her good cookware.


i heard (never tried) that you can go to places that make newspapers and get slightly damaged newsprint extremely cheap.
any paper works for wheatpaste, thinner is usually better. or you can use wood and canvas and thick stuff and just use a caulk gun with some liquid nails or any adhesive. thats effective and cool looking

i have an idea for people in here. a while back i remember trading stickers on the regular, and people would go put yours up in their city and take flicks of them up for you, and then you would do the same favor for them. it was nice, coming online and seeing your stickers with a new cityscape behind them. it seems people are trading on here but theres no proof of a positive end result besides people putting them in books. im fine with mine being in books, but not all of the ones i send. if i sent say 10 to someone, i would hope for at least 7 to go up outside. can we get this going and make this thread become full of pictures of our stickers outside? ill start tomorrow, with whatever ive recieved so far. PLEASE get motivated. haha

yeah street art is different from traditional graffiti in my opinion anyway. graffiti, there are set rules and usually, if your work isnt "up to par" its overlooked. but in streetart and with sticker artists mostly, it seems its more of a community effort. if you have a solid design/idea behind your work, and you have the right motivation, it seems anyone (almost) can at least open up to you and respect what youre doing. almost everyone ive met has been very friendly and positive about my work, even if theirs is a million times more complicated or precise. ive met jet-pac, cute crimes crew members, lobster roll, abe lincoln jr, robots will kill, mysterious al, the london police, and have talked with red5, the fiend, and many others who all have the same positive attitude. i love it. and another thing that doesnt seem to be a key factor is a bad ego problem, sure we all have it and sometimes feel it growing, but it never really gets in the way of getting along with other artists. my opinion anyway.
