HOLLYWOOD - Police have arrested two men after they were allegedly caught spray-painting a water tower.

xxxxxxxx, of Plantation, and xxxxxxxxxx, of Davie, both 22, were charged with vandalism and burglary of an unoccupied structure, officials said.

The men set off a silent alarm when they climbed the water tower on 2840 Sheridan Street just before midnight Monday, said police spokesman Sgt. Manny Marino.

Authorities arrived at the scene and demanded the men climb down with a loud speaker.

xxxxxxx also had a store receipt for 12 spray paint cans, according to a police affidavit.
