if you dont know that i dont think you are ready to paint trains honestly
most people dont start painting trains until they have actually been seriosuly in the game for over 2 years and have a really good idea of what they are doing. im not saying you dont btu its jsut a heads up.

Yes, go to a website and do some e-graffiti, then you'll be ready to paint freights.

Those who know, know that that sentence was said with the purest of sarcasm possible.
There are a couple of threads about painting trains, look at them, research and study. If not, there are a large number of things that may happen to you or your piece.

exactly
it maty be worth it considering it travels around canadaor us or we
but getting caught in a yard is some bad shit
some guys in my city got cuaght in a yard in the day jsut taking pictures
and they had to do huge reports on yard safety
and present them to the police
not fun

not all types of trains drip! there was this certain one i hit and it driped like crazy. and there are some points to painting trains, one main point is that they travel!! and more people see them.
and freight yards have mad security! we tried walking into one a wile ago and there were speakers that sid "we see you" then we froze "get off the tracks" so we booked and went in a safer way. once your in the yard i suggest your quite because there are people walking around marking freights and shit. and they have these truck thing that rool around, like the community patrol of the yard!
thats just from my experience.

It's been awhile since I've done trains. There is a train yard that stores chlorine freights near me, but the cars havn't been there for six months or so. They shoud be back soon though then the fun starts again.

in the past ive used those square milk crates

you could hide your cans in milk bottles and pretend to be a milkman. Sorry i am bored and came up with it. I would say that you gotta watch out becos the brakes sometimes loose pressure and the trains roll a bit and if your foot is there, OUCH!!!

I don't really venture into the yards. near my school theres a set of tracks that lead to a grain mill, beside the grain mill 90% of the time there are 3 sets of trains right beside eachother on the outside of the grain mill, I climb over and go in between the 1st train and the 2nd train and paint there. Theres like no security and nobody see's shit, I can go at lunch and bomb and peice at 12:00 in the afternoon and nobody see's anything. Then I just climb back over and walk away.

The only way I could hit a train where I lived (1. get better skills I'm still kinda toyish) is if someone put a penny on the track to de-rail the train then, while it's on it's side bomb and then leave. Train's don't stop where I live and there are NO yards (such a GREAT location for graff =/).

Shyd...
03-26-2005, 01:53 AM
I doubt a train would derail by putting a penny on the tracks. I have put pennies on the tracks it just squishes them.

skateparadise
03-26-2005, 02:14 AM
 ha mother fuckin penny? no fucking way... maybe a fisher price train. people have put cars infront of trains and the trains didnt derail. and cars a a tad bit bigger then a penney.

pluse there are rocks and shit laying on the tracks and that doesnt make them derail.

i think you were thinking of a fisher price toy train.

skateparadise
03-26-2005, 02:15 AM
now if you had a concrete ramp on the other hand....

that might derail the train...

lesson on how to deral train

1)get your self some sort of metl cutter (diamond encrusted saw will do the job)

2)cut a large chunk of the track away

3) run away..very fast

ehhh trains are hard surfaces to work with. lots of ridges and curves that can create sloppy over spray. the only plus side to sprayin a car is that u never know were itll end up / always traveling. = more peps seein it; then being confined to one area.

are there any important numbers/marks on common cars besides main reporting numbers? will they stamp you for going over a blackbox? (i.e. Below "-ling")

And they basically act like their the military and will tear your home apart looking for "evidence" if you get caught. One of my friends a big train writer in stockholm and pretty well known in europe got caught. 7 people from the vandal squad raided his house, and before they left they all took a dump in his toilet without flushing. And when he got out of jail a few days later the whole apartment smelled like death.

Where I live, the yard is really chill. at night its pitch black, and the workers usually leave around 6ish. Even in the day time, i could be there taking pictures, and the worse that happens is the port security( its right next to a river) will come up and warn us about the trains. but i know alot of the bigger city yards have more security. Im not that good, and for awhile, just stuck to doing marker tags on trains. THen when i got semi good with a can, i decided to do a throwie on one and found out how hard it is to paint with the rungs and all that shit on it. All i can say is, get good with can control, paint a few, get used to it, and paint some more.

Practice makes perfect. people will see you progress, and then its all goodness from there.

dude im from newcastle and panels get hit here like everyday my mates hit panels in daylight at newcastle station layup its not redhot at all on grey line what line are you near?

07-31-2011, 02:42 PM
really only cheap shit cans drip.

also i dont see much point of painting trains cos they get buffed straight away, in melbourne anyway, dunno bout other places.

yeah but its fun as hell, after doin trains, every other action is not satisfying enough...heard of people who didnt get the fever though..

and freights are pretty easy to do most of the time...

Trains are the best feeling! But on the issue to do with paint.. it doesn't matter to be honest, its the weather you need to deal with.. obv if its wet or raining cheaper paints are gonna run like hell.. but for me the best kind of paint is either 94 or belton. Would love to try out sabotaz on it though, can't find any!

painting gondolas or stackers at night or when its cold can also be a little challenging because the steel usually collects dew on it

uber-lulzzz
08-01-2011, 05:46 PM
Yeah man aint nothing worse when you start a outline and then relise that there's dew.. shit goes everywhere!

lord_plankton
08-01-2011, 06:27 PM
no dude, belton (molotov premium is what you mean i guess) is only good for low pressure, you got to be fast dont go with belotn n fat cap, sabotaz are also shit as hell in genreal forget em either. laks suck to, hardcore, kobra, clash are in my bag...even if the train is a little wet, thats okay...

uber-lulzzz
08-01-2011, 06:32 PM
Well like i said, i found belton to be good as a personal preferance.

ribcage
08-01-2011, 07:06 PM
belton is aight if you can afford painting with it... pigment wise its a pretty good paint, and they got a ton of great colors, but I personally like a thicker paint. I will buy the burner cans tho, cause those ones cover like no other

uber-lulzzz
08-01-2011, 07:09 PM
Well if its coverage your after there is no other choice but molotow chrome burners.. doesn't matter if its wet windy or snow.. that shit goes on!

ribcage
08-01-2011, 07:13 PM
gotta love the 600ml cans too, if I could afford it Id just buy a shit ton of the tar black 600ml burner cans for the wholesale price and never get any other kind of black

uber-lulzzz
08-02-2011, 06:56 AM
Yeah Only bad thing about chrome burners is it sometimes eats the black when you start outlining, but if you give it 5minutes to dry it goes on perfect! Molotow is the best kind of paint i've used! Love the stuff!

ribcage
08-02-2011, 07:22 AM
It dont eat the burner black tho, or at least when I used em I did the fill and then the time it takes me to fill the last letter to switch to black and start outlining It was good to go, covered the burner chrome with less thena 3 min to dry. IF you use any kind of chrome and then any kind of black thats not tar black burner your prolly gonna have to wait or else the chrome will eat through, but that shit happens almost every time with any color tryina go over chrome

uber-lulzzz
08-02-2011, 07:58 AM
Yeah it just happened when me and a friend where painting he was fiilling in i was outlining.. all in all it's the best chrome you can get!

couple questions, how do you cross a railway (uk) safely? it might sound stupid but i dont wanna get fried lol and does anyone know of any kinda train yards etc around guildford or surrey? or is there anyone out there from here? < last one might not belong here but still.... and graff city do paint packs of 2 molotow coversall black and 4 burner chrome for like £25. the black covers the chrome, and also check youtube for the video of a sheet of metal, soaking when when it was pissing down with rain and the black actually covers it. that paint is tha shit! sorry for long post, peace. --Resk.

I hit trains almost every weekend. They don't drip. One time I hit a train after it rained and thought they were dry but they were still a little wet and that made my outline drip a tiny bit, but nothing drastic. Trains are probably the chillest things to hit.

12-27-2011, 03:46 AM
90% of yards have tense as security (im talking comuter trains). you gotta scope it out for a week or so before, find where the security guards hide and when they patrol around. you gotta look out for security guards inside trains. really gotta do ya homework. make sure no crews use the yard (if they do make sure its ok to hit it) because if you red hot there yard you will get FUCKED UP! also watch out for cops raiding yards, i have known people to be painting and have cops storm the yard because cops/transit cops have found out there plans and caught em red handed... make sure no one sees you any where near the yard, it doesnt take much to redhot a spot.
