Rusto Paint??

alright..i've been using nothing but rusto lately. everyone once in a while i get a can that just sprays everywhere. i bought two cans of rusto silver the other night because i've never used it and i tried it out today and both cans just went everywhere. anyone know what i can do to fix this? is it just that some are messed up? or what? thanks.

prolly because of the caps u were using.. rusto paint come out thick and full
so alot of the thinner caps don't works well. german outlines work good and the ovious rusto fats both a good set of caps to start off with

new york fats are great too

personally, i would stay away from rusto fats, though.
it comes out VERY fast

use wal*mart silver.

cheaper, works with a wider variety of caps, and goes on very nice.

the exact same thing happened to me, i was gonna do a big as throw until i realized my hand and shoes were covered in cold silver paint. :( . i stick 2 montana and osh metalics.

lets put it this way you get what you paid for(or didn't pay for in the case of a 5 finger discount). rusto was a good paint back in the day and still is, but their quality control isnt the best. i've got a few cans that have broken valves and wont spray a drop. if you bought it you can take it back and exchange it. even though ive gone on to using mtn and belton i still use rusto because i cant be using the good stuff for every throwie or tag i do, its not like the uk where you can get belton for 3 quid.

american accents and painters touch (rustoleum lines)
work with more caps than original rustoleum, depending on color

i can never get rustoleum sail blue or flat black to work with ny fats without leaking at least a little, but almost every AA can i have used works fine.

rusto fats are good caps though, the reason rustoleum doesnt work with alot of caps is the pressure and the fact that its petrol based, not lacquer based like most spray paints.
its too thick to work with some caps, so it spurts and flies out the seal.

cans dont come with broken valve seals, you break them if you were using the wrong caps or put caps on slightly sideways. (there may be exceptions to this rule, but i doubt it, rustoleum is the best quality american based paint company)

rusto resists dripping better than any other paint, (except maybe belton) and it works better in cold than most paint except for belton. it lasts alot longer without fading than any other paint on the market if you use it right and fill thick.

pink dots work on painters touch, but the lines arent really very fat.

for rusto i use ny fats, rusto fats, stocks, ny thins. german outlines and fats work on certain colors, especially chromes/metallics

Rusto makes many different types of paint. The "America's Best" and "Painter's Touch" brands offer the most colors, though not nearly as many as Molotow, Montana, or Krylon. Rusto paint generally performs better than Krylon, though not by much. Good tips to use are New York thins and fats, Rusto fats (duh), German Outlines, and calligraphies, although they also work with the Dot types. i've had a a few disks pop out of the pink dots so stay away from them with rusto

no wtf? every time i use a german cap with rusto the disc pops off every time.Im just assuming that every german cap is the same.the ones i tried were Gold dots,pink dots,grey dots. and all of em poped. so yea

they leak and dont get good lines, but ive never had an insert break.

i made a homemade fat calligraphy cap with a stock fan rusto cap, and the insert leaked, but it didnt flie out.


thats just me though. stick to rusto fats and ny thins anyways, rusto fats are the sex

Rusto makes a cap thats a little larger than all of the others and is completely Black. Anyone know what its for? And besides that, has anyone ever had the dot blow out and then have a range of like 5 feet. It&#39;s awsome.

yeah i took the "dot" out once
it oversprayed and leaked everywhere but i wasnt painting anything and it was a stock cap so no money wasted

if u use normal rusto stops rust with a rusto fat ull be fine.no leaking.its kuz the valve is different.and if you have american accents you can use a ny fat just fine.

i love rusto. but their subbrands work better for me. american accents are the best. the problem is that they dont make black. ia ctually prefer american accents to montana and belton.
with regular rusto, black never works good for me withoutline caps. i think it has to do with the fact the pressure is different than the cans the caps were designed for. oh well. it works

I had the same shit, I had a gloss white rusto and the NY fat fucked it up...But it also happend when I had a glodd white Krylon, the paint just ozzed out of the top and I dono maybe..Maybe it was to cold or i didnt shake it enough?
