if by zigs you meant postermans, then cop some from ANY art store. michaels either in south keys or the one beside the ikea in the west end (look for woodcraft markers). loomis on bank street right between gladstone the queensway (they call them zig postermans). wallacks on bank sort of close to somerset (they have the sharpie paint markers, go for the huge poster paint ones)

yea i have a few of the big sharpies but the paint in em sucked ass, so i had to pop some ghetto kirnk in em....kinda ruining the point of getting one in the first place :huh:

but i checked and none of those places have "postermans".......then again i havent checked micheals yet.

Anyway, back to the task at hand....has anyone read todays Metro? Supposedly there is a new anit-graffiti plan they are setting up and apperantly they have already napped like 18 writers.....its more than probable that they were toys, but still.

Im not losing any sleep over it but should Ottawa writers be a bit more careful now...or is it just another lame ass attempt that'll go no where?

i know for a fact that they have broad tipped paint markers at all of those locations.

at michaels they are called woodcraft markers, made by zig. in the woodcraft section, ask for help if you're lost.
at loomis they have zig postermans for sure, or at least did recently. they keep them behind the counter so you have to ask the person there.
wallacks has the sharpie poster paints which are the same thing.
or, for a few dollars more, be an idiot and buy the montana markers from Norml.

Yeah just saw that on the news. Someone needs to write something up to argue against
this. Graffiti writers don&#39;t have much representation on the city counsil and if they can
do it in london they&#39;ll do it here.

We have to remind them of the legal walls of ottawa, the descriminatory nature of this
law (because it only targets people under 18) and other stuff, and that by doing this
they may be encouraging many writers to steal paint instead of buying (thats what I
would do) or even go so far as to get fake ID just for paint.

I was atlking to DSR last week, he said he&#39;s doing this mural for Ottawa. He&#39;s a very pro-active guy, trying to get more legal walls other than the ones in Hull. He&#39;s tryin to put a good face on Graffiti. People get the wrong impression of it.
When he&#39;s done he&#39;s going to organize a meeting with ottawa council or someone up there, and talk about what they can do about making graff a positive thing in ottawa because we&#39;ve got so many talented writers down here, and nobody knows it.
PS: Trap, those flicks you have are way outdated. He&#39;s mos-def almost finished now. I daresay, it&#39;s ill-matic. I&#39;ll try and get flicks up asap. Might stop by there today if I can while the rents are out.

i think the new spray paint bylaw is absoluetly rediculous

although the majority of the spray paint being bought by ppl under 18 is probably used for graffiti, there is a minority that probably dont, and for the city to accuse someone who buys spray paint to be a vandal before he has done anything kind of runs the whole "innocent until proven guilty" crap into the ground.

spraypaint also isnt the only medium people use for graffiti. bucket paint, shoe polish mops, and pilots are just as much to blame, but you can buy this crap from any half decent art store, no questions asked. no matter what they ban or what bylaws they pass, there will always be something to write on walls with.

so maybe the city should save some time and effort and just give up already....
