Best Way To Clean Caps

i have tryed lots of diffrent ways to clean caps and i just havent found a really good way yet so if you know of one plz tell

new yorkers get clogged easily. what i usually do is take the nozzle of and blow in it after ive been painting for about 10 minutes, then put back on. or when i'm done, hold the can upside down and spray out a quick spray. just some personal status. peace.

The easiest thing to do is once your finished painting with your tips is invert your can so its upside down and spray till no paint is comming out just aerosol. this will spray out any wet paint keeping the tip clean and this ensures that you wont have tips clogging up, or sprayin out puny ammounts of paint.

Alot of stores don't sell caps, and internet shopping isn't as convenient sometimes. If caps get really fucked up, go to anyplace that sells aerosols and take a few caps. Assuming that Rusto fats or similar caps are alright. I'm in the same boat, I usually clean them and then take some replacements when needed.

Damn... there is no need to clean caps if you empty them when your done usin them. Just tip the can upside down and spray until nothing comes out. But if you can't do that because you stupid and your caps get clogged, soak them in a container with paint solvent for a few days

turn the can upside down let out pressure. if theyre actually clogged with wet paint WHILE painting. simple get a piece of grass or a leaf and stick it in the little hole. if they're already clogged. dip em in some nail polish remover or something like that. should work fine for a bit longer.

Not true at all, aersol works with air flow regulation, when you hold the can upside it chokes the can. You dont use paint, just air pressure, which in my opinion is more valuable.

i use a silicone based tire shine spray. i think it might have acetone in it cause it feels cold when you get it on ur hands. it unclogs caps very well but only if used w/ in a few hours of it clogging. almost nothing will get a jammed cap clean after a day or two. but again don't give ur self a headache over a clogged cap cause its jus one cap and you can alway buy more from either a shop or ebay.

it doesn't have to be that exact peanut thing aha,it's just convienent that way lol,,you could just as easily put it all in a big ass glass jar or something,just make sure the container you're using is glass or metal,the chemicals eat threw some plastics and i'm not sure you'd like cleaning up a poisonous mess from your floor,then never again can you eat that one frootloop that fell off the spoon :( :unsure:

p.s.-the hardest part is not finding the container to put it in,you can get jars cheap at fleamarkers or w/e,but to find a place to get the chemicals is fairly difficult unless you can pull off the whole i'm in college/university we're doing an experiment on ________(<---insert load of shit here) this is one of the chemicals we need and our professor told us to pick up extra for his next class or something like that,aha idk wing it like i just did there lol

Paint thinner isn't always just mineral spirits, sometimes a mix of things. And acetone is a better solvent again.

And "THAT SHIT GIRLS USE TO REMOIL NAIL POLISH SHIT" is usually acetone. It generally overpriced when you buy it as nail polish remover, try hardware and auto shops for a better deal if you're buying.

how do i clean my caps? e z way to to keep caps clean for nextime if u dun wanna have to grab them from the store all the time is to just turn yer can upsidedown and spray that way just compressed air comes out and not paint....its a better idea to clean caps with krylon cans cause they are way over pressured anyhow so u don't have to wrry about waste and it's stong enough to force out the clog..

one other thing.. a cap thats on it way to getting cloged is actully pritty usefull for the fine details for like them pencil thin lines. so take advantage of that b4 u blast them clean again

Get a big glass jar,

Mix paint thinner/white spirit with nail polish remover, bleach, rubbing alcohol, goof off and then spray aload of deoderant into a plastic lid and pore it in.. it should fizz and be like a fizzy drink fizzyness. put you caps into there and sturr. put the lid on loosely, (so the gasses can escape) then when you see there clean pull out.

If the caps work but are just dirty as hell dont use deoderant. the reason i put deoderant in is to flush out the insides..(its like rubbing alcohol)

Mix paint thinner/white spirit with nail polish remover, bleach, rubbing alcohol, goof off and then spray aload of deoderant into a plastic lid and pore it in.. it should fizz and be like a fizzy drink fizzyness. put you caps into there and sturr. put the lid on loosely, (so the gasses can escape) then when you see there clean pull out.

If the caps work but are just dirty as hell dont use deoderant. the reason i put deoderant in is to flush out the insides..(its like rubbing alcohol)

just buy a can of montana graffiti removal spray, an pop ur cap on it, spray then leave for a couple minutes and spray gain, and voula clear cap....

iff you'Re too young to get a credit card or a shipping adress outside om's home, you're too young to get in any problems witit!


im not going to cough up on wich cans specifically, but be on the lookout for tips who look stock (like a regular non hooded cap) with a full circle black insert with the ribs a bit spaced, more than the stock tips on a cheap can...

you got yourself a ny fat

and then look for a tip who appears to be stock but with a orange dome shaped insert who domes inward with close ribbing

and you got yoself a rusto fat


do thatx10 you got a 20 tips bag...

you got fats who fits on every hardware store (you cant get tips i assume you cant get montana/belton etc) you have stock caps to do skinny lines...

you're pretty much all setted... you have all you need!

you can get pretty cool calligraphic caps and other great picks on random cans... go out and explore!
