Stencil Artist Needed For Newspaper Stunt London

I am a reporter for the Islington Gazette and we need a capable stencil artist for a story we are doing.


You may have heard in the news about the stall owner who sold a Banksy which had been painted on his stall for £1000, and then discovered it was probably worth £500,000. He has sadly been saying he would love it if Banksy came and did another one. He is an Islington resident, so we want to offer him a replacement by a ‘fake’ Banksy. If you reckon you could do a good replica of the original stencil, would you be up for it?



We can’t afford to pay you for the work, but it would be a good fun thing to be involved in, and you’d get your work in the paper. We'd probalby be able to put an internet address of yours or something so you could get some coverage.

I'd be curious to know ten of 'em. How many cat's here (or anywhere) have hung there own shit up in the Luve? He's a prankster, and that's the art, not just the stencil. Its a double edged sword kinda thing.

I like stencils a lot, myself. And Banksy had inspired a bunch of really dope artist to start making really amazing stencil pieces. Hes also giving street art a bit of a better name by making people focus on the art instead of the vandalism.

But yeah, at the same time hes influencing a bunch of whack artist to go out and try to do what he does, and instead end up fucking up a perfectly good wall with trash. Also, people act like hes the only fuckin stencil artist out there, which is really lame to the other artists whove been doin it for a really long time.

I personally enjoy his work, but I know other people have their own opinions. As long as he keeps makin the art he wants to make, I dont got a problem with him
