A lot of European cities had thriving graffiti cultures before we did here in Toronto. Paris, Amsterdam, London; all featured in Spraycan Art (http://www.amazon.com/Spraycan-Art-Street-Graphics/dp/050027469X) from 1987. Great book, too. It's up there with Subway Art as far as old school graff books go (Henry Chalfant, who was one of the directors of Style Wars, was one of the authors for both books) and is definitely worth checking out.

While we're posting here, might as well let you all know that we've recently received new shipments of Montana Black (all colours) and the newly re-formulated White (except for black, shit's out of stock like crazy these days) as well as Block by Block Ink refills and mops. P.S. After numerous unforeseen and unavoidable delays, and over 2 years after it started, the Ultimate Huffer Graffiti Tournament is coming to an end this summer. The final round will be a 4-way battle between Ekwal, Sohoe, Motel, and Smug. Same wall, same word, different styles competing to see who can rock the hardest.
