I live out New zealand where 80% of the cars are imported from japan either new or 2nd hand. what many of u yanks don't know is skylines came out in CA18I 4 cylinder shitter, sohc RB20E 6 cylinder 2 litre shitter, RB20 non turbo/turbo, RB25DE non turbo and the famous RB26DETT (GTR engine). check it out on wikipedia.. GTR is 4wd, quick cause it sticks.. GTS-4.. Mini GTR Same setup but a smaller single turbo 2.0L DOHC.. GTS-T.. Same as GTS-4 BUT RWD :D:D.. Next is my model.. Bigger engine but no turbo :P but easily converted to turbo, and also rwd, 95% came out as auto but me and my dad converted to manual.. then theres the shittier models which i wont go into.. they came out in 4 door and 2 door...

Either way we both will have shit handling around corners, and we wont be able to put any power down out of them.....and when i get my b18 from an integra, and hopefully with the integras differentials, it will handle around corners and i wouldnt even attempt to race it....when thats got the 12psi boost im after......thats going to be an easy 400hp.....that will rag the shit out of most cars.....

i drive a 1992 ford tempo..it has several rust spots and an insaely ugly power steering leak that leaks onto the muffler and creates alot of bad smells and steam.

trans ams with suspension can handle alot tighter than most people give them credit for sure its heavy but the extra power only makes up for that especially on good tires, and if you stripped a mustang GT and built it for time attack it could compete. Now if you were to say for "such" amount of money then it might be different. Theres a whole different class of muscle cars referred to as "G Machines" and their balls to the wall powerful they just have enough suspension and chassis work that it all sticks in the corners. and theyde tear many import track cars up.

Plus it may be a different driving style but that style when used correctly is just as capable. unless the car weighs a less, it wont win with less bhp.....more power, means quicker acceleration....the more BHP you will have usually means the car will accelerate quicker, unless the car has fuck all torque which is the main problem with honda engines, the vtec engines produce loads of power but not much torque....but anyway.....yer back onto flicks....finally picked up the larger spoiler for my civic coupe, been looking for ages and my mate has had one sitting around in his garage for the past year....not to much different but i prefer it....so i swiped that up quickly as possible, got my new exhaust manifold and downpipe in the post, and got my alloys ordered....

F bodys can be made to be track monsters dude whether you realize it or not.

Further More jetta's gti's civics and 85 percent of other COMMON imports are made to be economy cars meaning their made to get you from one side of town to another without costing you lots on gas.

Fbodys (TA's and camaro's) are classified as "sports cars" meaning their made to be fast and take turns faster than usual.

Say we were given a jetta and TA both stock and 10 grand to modify each car to be autocross cars. would you consider this fair?

fbody parts are cheaper and easier to install most the time, not always. start with more power and have easier axcessablitly to extra power ( i could bolt on full exaust, an intake, and get a chip and it would free up more than doing the same on a jetta) and thats proven.and thats not even getting into real engine work like heads a cam rockers turbos/SC's port and polishing ect.

so your 10k would make my 10k look like 13k not to mention i could install it all myself ;)

Well im aware but the correct suspension set up and wide enough tires can get you damn near without an insane power. and no hes not gunna make it to 1200 with nos alone unless he wants to blow his engine on the first pass. a 600 shot would melt engine components and destroy the compression chambers. let alone probly twist the frame or shear the driveshaft with that big of a hit.

the rust on this one is fine, i seen a tiny spot in some crevices here in there, nothing too bad, and ya this car has alot of socal done to it, its got the original pop out side windows, i believe its got a 65' hood and engine hood, and also its be dechromed as you can see

oh and the guy was very detailed, every bolt on this caar is stainless steel, the floor pans were acid dipped, he lowered it too

the only shit part about this car was the interior, a racoon got inside and tore it up


btw i love your beetle, my mom had one that look just like it

yer that red vdub is sick! well all 3 are....well vdubs i think look best when left fairly standard....i even love seeing a vw with steelies lowered, looks fresh....again personal opinion of cars, either way i think that vw is sick, and seeing the amount of work put into it, just stunning....he re did nearly every single part in the car....spent thousands, a ful restoration job really...stripped it down to the chassis, bought all new parts for the brakes, fitted, cleaned it all....cant even begin with the list of bits done to it....
