mr blind 2 simple rules i have said time in and time out

you need a solid outline color all away around your letters ( your first piece doesnt even have a letter outline color, your second i think is blue but it dissapears in places)

you need a uni/forcefield that goes all the way around the outside of the piece (yours are red in both but the first one is missing spots in the b and the d)

also your highlights should stay to one side, all on the left of the letters or the right (yours switch to all sides). the highlight is just a simple line running close along the edge, dont take over the fill color. a highlight can also be placed glimmers like a mirror catching the sun, pick the same side of the letters and make a fading star like effect.



steps:
-draw letters in fill color
-fill letters (dont worry about a crazy fill now, maybe try a fade top to bottom)
-outline all letters, nonstop lines touching each other
-then add highlights (pick one side to highlight, and dont right to the edges leave some fill to show and just keep it as an easy line shade)
-do uni, all the way around the piece making sure not to cover the letter outline
-clean up, make sure the letter outline is visble everywhere VERY IMPORTANT, make sure the highlight doesnt steal away from the fill

as a simple piece it can all be done 3 colors (1 fill, 1 letter outline, 1 uni/highlights)
even with a fade and a different color highlight 5 colors should be enough

If I understood correctly, Fair-Oh actually painted that, and by the looks of it, it was done for an internet café or something.

As for the piece itself, I&#39;d suggest going a little simpler with the fill and background, they&#39;re done pretty well, but they seem like random effects that are put together, like the swirls, boxes, cracks, music notes, and plenty of bubbles.
