It dosnt really help me that much.
also the kind of spray paint i use isnt really that easy to use COMPARED to montana,krylon etc.
What spray paint do u use?
Since i live in south africa you dont get much of a nice selection of paint here. :(

I agree with most of what was said here, but I just wanted to give you a little praise for having some pretty decent can control. Your lines look cleaner than mine did when I was painting for five months. Keep it up man. Oh, and I wish my parents would let me come over to thier house and burn the back wall. :D

personally mr blind, i found the colors combos very distracting in all your paintings. it might be because your add ons (bubbles, arrows, etc) are the same colors as the letters.

a solid, clean outsanding/contrast outline color is needed. i also noticed that your outline often doesnt fully follow around all your letters.

a popping, vibrant and clean uni/forcefield is needed. try only including the letters in the uni, and not the add ons.

i recomend you try leaving out the 3d for now when painting (look at some euro styles for example). and work on a continous size/shape of your letters through out the peice.

keep practicing becasue your shading, highlights, and fading skills are ok.

if you choose light green letters, choose a dark blue outline
if you choose a dark blue choose, a light green outline
the contrast is important for letters that stand out, but for a more blended look choose similair colors just with darker and lighter shades
if you choose a light green letter, choose a dark green outline
this is not a rule, and doesnt always work the same for all color combos

as for the bubles and such, either choose for them to be in the background or the foreground (ie. behind your peice or in front/on top your piece). try not attaching them to your letters. as for colors, thats your choice.

i recomend you keep thing simple for right now and not worry about complex letter fills (your solid colors and fades are best for now)

yea do that..i call arrows,bubles,etc..bonus. first worry about your letters only..like morf said.then later on you add your bonus..you can add stuff in sketches..but for now wen you paint just do the letters

It doesn&#39;t matter what paint you use, if you have can control it shows. Each paint has thier own tricks to find, cause each one is different. I say, keep working with stocks, it&#39;ll help u build up some skill, and then when you start using Krylon or other higher quality paints, you&#39;ll be amazed at how simple and easy they are to use.

use caps that are sharper. stay very close to the wall, but make sure your lines are quick, or you will get drips. In order to not see the piece you went over you would either have to roll it first like you said, or apply more layers of spray paint to cancel it out. Unfortunately if you&#39;re going to bomb, spending more time kinda defeats the purpose. At that point you might as well be piecing, so it&#39;s all a balancing act depending on the desired effect you&#39;re trying to achieve. Some bombs are really attractive with a sketchy look, and sometimes people intentionally piece sketchy so it looks bombish.Such a confusing world we live in. :)

i still recomend you make sure all your outlines and uni be a nonstop solid line.
ex. the pink uni go all the way around the piece, and dont bring the color into the 3d fade
ex. is there evn an outline color around the letters?

plus when using a highlight color (like yellow in your case) try to keep all the highlights to one side (all on the left of the letter or all right or the top or the bottom)

and the norm prolly is work on your letter structure first? but whos to tell whats the rules how to do graffiti....

i agree that i go a bit hard on the shade but i am new to shading and i am just experimenting. i think that for not even a year of spraying i am doing some pretty good pieces.
it is very hard to master ur can control in south africa as we dont get any good can makes. we dont get montan,krylon,rusetleom, nothing. so we dont get any types of caps and we always have to use "half pressure".
