inner tubing

Anyone else ever considered taking a gap year out, or even just a few months to go inter-railing?
Anyone ever gone inter-railing? where? experiences?

id like go and travel through the rest of europe, hook up with some locals and just paint some new steel + concrete. ive painted while on holiday in Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium etc. but never any steel or anything like that, so proper inter-railing would be cool.

(for those that dont know inter-railing is basically a graff holiday, traveling to different countries and hooking up with the local writers/crews, staying with them, letting them show you around and painting with them.)

its been done before plenty of times by writers here in the UK and europe etc. (just take the Dirty Handz movie for example). sure the whole international thing may not be such a reality for you guys in the US and Canada, but what about traveling the US and checking out various scenes?
in europe if you go to any major city, its going to have plenty of stuff to paint (metro, trams, trains, freight and street bombing) find the local writers bench or graff shop and they will hook you up with someone.
it can be done all pretty cheap aswell if you live with a local writer, thats free accommodation for a start.
as far as danger goes sure its going to be risky, but graff is dangerous where ever you go and anyway thats why you got the locals to keep you safe and out of jail.

eh i have a feeling the interailing scene in the US would be a lot worse than the UK or rest of Europe. I think because of Europe's cities being more connected and easier to travel to, it forms more connectiones between writers and other crews. Graff just seems to hostile in the US to come in on another crews city and expect to get up with them.

yeah interestingly put 10 Ton, thats a shame cos the US scene could have alot of potential then.
in europe it aint just that all the cities are well connected but that every country has got a very different scene. plus there are roughly 30-40 different languages being spoken in europe and everyone is so different. ive met writers who didnt understand a word i was saying and vice versa, so the only thing we got in common is graff (and sometimes music) so its like fuck it lets go paint!
i speak german and know enough french to get by, but when you start hitting eastern europe poland, czech republic etc. you got no idea whats going on......and thats half the fun with interrailing. plus you get good international connection which can help you out alot.

na i aint having a dig at them i know they are up alot and hitting proper steel+trackside , but its just a real shame that the standard nowadays is.....well just so low really! they are doing there thing and i respect that, but with more practice/effort they could develope some decent styles.

we aint all 14 year olds hell bent on causing max damage with our piss weak throwups, some off us a adults and proper steel writers.
you get connections from other writers and stuff (you get connections with experiance). its all about trust, i mean if your with the guy the whole time he is hardly going to ran sack your place, without you he is on the streets.
