yeah i know, but they werent racist until they got that new singer, and completely fucked over everything and destroyed oi! music as we know it

but before their racist years, they put out some good songs, having nothing to do with racism or bigotry, just about bein workin-class skins in england during a tough time. i hate the BNP with every fiber of my being and wouldnt be caught dead listening to any of Skrewdriver's racist propaganda, but before that, some of their shit was decent.

i swear, for some of these kids, "boots and braces" would be their favorite song if they didnt know skrewdriver sang it. they think "Ohh, Skrewdriver! Nazis!" without ever listening to any of their stuff and researching the band. Remember the old phrase "know your enemy?" well if half these kids actually did, they'd know that the original Skrewdriver had nothing to do with the WP monster it became. Fuck Ian Stuart Donaldson (as he burns in Hell), fuck Nicky Crane (as he burns in Hell), fuck the BNP, and fuck the WP "movement".

i completely agree with you on that, i actually had a long conversation the other night with my cousin who was going to shows back in the early-mid 80s about the nazis and shit and skrewdriver came up. and yea, before they became a white power band there earlier shit was pretty decent. they put out quite a few good tracks. unfortunately they became more well known when they turned to racism. which is unfortunate because that automatically made everything they released become associated with racism.
