OK another question. I'm looking at GROG markers, right now i'm gonna stick with markers until I get better with my letters. I see there are two types of refills, ink and metal paint. Can someone here explain the differences and which one can be used on what surface? I looked at the web and there's nothing graffiti specific.

Hey so I just came up on 20 cans of striping paint in my garage, anyone ever heard of or use it to paint? The difference is basically using a chiseled tip compared to a straight point. Ive been practicin a couple throws with it and since it has a straight chiseled spray it fills way faster and more area only problem is outlines and details. the cans are also larger so they hold more. I feel like I could do some sick fast throws if I just learned to can control with em or if anything just replace the tips.

Yeah dude same thing happened to me. Once it wasn't even the real buff. It was the natural buff. Rain washed and the blue outta this dope ass black and blue piece I did in the middle of everywhere around my town haha. Black fill blue outline. I was so bummed!

Well it was Rustoleum painters touch brilliant blue gloss. I rack it from my hardware store haha.
And it turned gray and you could see a small amount of blue in places. It started raining maybe 3 hours later? Idk something like that. I remember it rained like al day though.

Personally I'm not a fan of those nibs but to each his own. I'm sure you could remove the nib and the paint and clean it out with some hot water and put your own ink/paint in.

mrchisel, yeah, right under the header up top. you click on "forum actions" then "general settings", then when the page loads, you look for the "my settings" tab on the left, you click it, and then in the following screen, you click on "edit email and password"

your first question: 1 means they're the only one or the first with that name... 2 means they're the second, 3 means they're the third etc... some have 2 or 3 digit numbers after their names, mostly like the oldschoolers from new york, those were the numbers on which street they were from.. sometimes numbers have no meaning at all, or other times someone might add a number before or after their name for personal reasons... I dunno like for example their age when they started, or their favorite number or whatever. it all depends

you can use 70%, but 90% is definitely much better... you might not get it right with the 70% alcohol if you don't know how to work it

If you have 70%, put it in a pot and heat it up to 100 degrees for 4-8 minutes give or take.Most of the water will evaporate leaving you with a higher percentage of alcohol. Dont exceed 104 degrees Farenheight tho... Idk what the boiling point of the 70% alcohol is but I know its above 104. If you make the alcohol boil its likely to burn your house down.

Okay, read my post. in what part did I say pour alcohol onto an open flame? If your not clumbsy, and not a retard, you should be able to heat up alcohol in a fuckin pot, let it cool, and then put it back in the container or wherever else you want it, without burning your self or anyone else. I'd say latex paint is good for anything.

When getting bucket paint I usually get latex because its cheap, and because it makes a rough brick wall/cement smoother than oil based will.

So in your case skeng if you want a roller with vibrant colors than get oil based. If you want a black or white get latex, and then if you have any left over you can lay it down on a rough surface u want to spray paint on

I understand where your coming from, but im trying to go out tagging just yet if at all. Most likely id do some peiceing just for fun for myself. And i suck ass at drawing. Along with doing sketching and some markers i also wana get used to how the different cans work and the different caps. Little of everything i guess to try my hand at it. dont put em in paint thinner, it will eat away the plastic. If you think one is clogged, you can flush it out with paint thinner, but if not, than just put em wherever and let em sit

try kilz if ur goin bomin it covers like a black its not low pigmented like most whites. ive used gold a few cans of the alien for translucent, a good cheaper paint ive used that isnt everywhere is sabatage they got some good colors but dont mix well with a few other paintes u gotta wait for shit to dry before cutin back or the sab will eat thru but its got the 3 ball system and paints like gold

Anyone got a good recipe for a hard staining ink to use with the ink that comes in a bingo dabber? Like adding shit to it to make it better and less streaky. Will rubbing alcohol do the trick?

rubbing alcohol will make it thinner/waterier. you need to find an additive that will disolve in the ink and make it thicker. Idk what do for that^ tho, sounds like a waste of time... but if you cant find any powder additive like RIT, which you can find at osh and other hardware stores, then you can settle for kool aid. add how ever much you want depending upon how thick you want to make it, it might work. And if it doesnt, try other things that will disolve in liquid and put it in

practice. or use a micron/finetip pen, and thicken all your lines so theyre clean

@mn I answere your question about the dabber ink, but for some reason the post either got deleted or didnt work. Dont use rubbing alcohol, that makes in thinner stupido. Try and find some RIT, its an additive powder to make ink and you can find it at hardware stores. You need to find something to put in it to make it thicker, wether it be powder or a thicker liquid. Dont put in any thin liquids

Clean, crisp marker lines come from drawing quickly. You just have to know when to stop your hand from moving so you don't go over lines. The less you move your hand, the better. You want one, perfect, straight line.

Thing is a can of paint is like $5 or something like that, so if I wanna do a 4-5 color piece or whatever its gonna cost about $25. If I got an extra 20 in my wallet im buying some drugs not shit I can steal for free. If you can afford to pay for all your paint you either dont get up enough or mom and dad give too much allowance for ironlaks and shit. Back in the day you had to steal your paint or nobody would respect you, things have changed a bit though.
