What it is y'all

Im new to the graff way of life so I saw an ad for this place in a magazine so I came on over. I have no exp. with graff, no cans no nothing. What should I start out with? Most importantly I guess, how do I create my own art from? I have experimented with different styles and none seem to fit me, so I just keep on trying new shit and practicing. Any advice for a toy like me? :huh:

the only advice i can give you is sketch, sketch, sketch till your hands are chapped and bleeding.....and dont post it till it looks good.......develope a good style and letters and start simple to dont try and do wildstyle right away.....

Start out simple. Then practice. If you want an example of starting simple then going more and more complex and developing your own style check out runci's stuff because he's a perfect example. Also research graff and where and how it started.

sorry for the double post (this is last nights story)

So first me and prime and Z0 go to the movies with my mom (saw hoot). Then we droped my mom off and went to z0&#39;s. Then his mom invited my mom over so we went back to pick her up. she got out and 2 second after she did we left her ass at z0&#39;s house. We went to a drain ditch thing and hit that. Went to this tractor trailer thing like 50 yards from the road, hit it. and there was this van with like 50 buckets of paint in it. so we took like 13 cans. Then we came home for about an hour. We were going to taco bell but the police and fire departments were blocking off the road so the medical copper could land. So we turned around and stoped by lowes on the way. we got one of those free newspaper things in our car. pushed it out in the parking lot. then a car was following us down the road so we dipped into this construction site and took two fire extinguisher to put paint in. Then but z0 had to be a dumbass and extinguish Prim3&#39;s car&#33;&#33; Then we went to taco bell to clean/organize the opened paint bucket we stole. Then we went to the gas station to clean the car. Next we went to this old shack were Bean and oshit asult write. we wanted to roller it but instead we went a few buildings down and rollered a trashcompactor. I had red paint and white outline but some asshat put the white cap on the silver paint. it turned out sucking so i turned it into a karck. then we went to the post office and hit a wall there and left.

wow thx man..the origonal fillin was suposed to be Dark green fading into the lime green then into orange then into darker orange.....but
the greens faded HORRIBLY and the oranges...i dont even wana mention the oranges...so i just quikly did anything :P

go search on google for it. i was interested in this before but i think the best is brushes. but if you just use acrylic paint straight up it&#39;ll crack and peel when you start walking with em. you need to add turps or something to the paint to make it flexible, but if you search on google, you&#39;ll find a lot of shit but there&#39;s one or two good sites that show you good ways of doing it.

it&#39;s not turps, it&#39;s nail polish remover or acetone. that keeps it from cracking.

last night was sick i went on a highway mission wit my buddy in toyhood "Kaos". any way we were goona hit this billboard some heaven spot shit perfect no writers clean pallet for a quick bomb. The catch was walking ove the like 40 foot high sketchy rail road track over water wow this thing had broken like wood struts, I was about to complain just kidding but we crossed it and we walk over some safer bridge and saw some wall perfect practice and it had some swager peice and some kid took a roller to it little beef along the way. we decided to get it on the return trip. we get to this thing wip out cans and bombs away. i get the call from a look out and i jump a good 10 feet to the ground and haul ass. aparently a cop drove up to the wall we had planned to hit on the return and was in clear sight of us and didnt even see us holy shit that was soome funny yet scary shit.

I got one out of a christmas cracker B) And now I&#39;m using it to draw small little sketches and bombs. Good for practise, not a lot of flow though.

aoassis im in no way trying to beef but this is an internet criticism so it may sound like it....you really do need to work with simpler letters :/ you dont really have the right idea as to where to put &#39;add-ons&#39; yet and make it look nice as oppose to a letter with a random things sticking out of it...another reason i say go back to basics is your proprtions are off and the letters are a little &#39;all over the place&#39; (like how the first few letters are away from the bottom of the page and it starts to move progressively lower)

however your basic letters are pretty nice (except the m) its really the &#39;addons&#39; and things sticking out of it that make it look awkward (as well as the proportional thing i mentioned)

if you were to drop that &#39;remik&#39; without the "addons" just the letters the way you drew them it&#39;d be pretty nice, it just looks like a bomb that is trying too hard to be a piece if that makes sense...

now your gonna say i hate you or something bla bla ive been on this longer than 2 weeks and have a fairly good idea what im talking about i could post some of my stuff if you think for whatever reason i dont know what im talking about, anyway 100% friendly criticism peeace

saturday I was out and only had markers and stickers, I was with a buddy and in on night saw 8 cops 2 drove very close to us and 2 nights ago I was out again and 3 cops drove by but never slowed down so I felt good but still thats one thing you dont want to see. On the way back home I walked down a neighborhood without a care in the world high on the night when not 10 ft behind me headlights some tard didnt turn the lights on until they were right on me.

If you don&#39;t want to order online or do a mailorder you can look at other cans and some have caps that fit on paint and spray thick lines, or thin. Also if you want to, you can mod stock caps to make them fat, but its hard to do it well IMO

it involves keeping your letters looking solid and "right" some people start with simple keyboard letters and develop em... this way when their letters develop they still look right as the letters they&#39;re meant to be - at least that&#39;s what i take it as

some people try all this wild shit on their letters straight away and they don&#39;t even know how to contruct their letters simply. the letters won&#39;t look right.

my lil 5 year old brother wrote all over my damn wall with crayon one day when i was at school. that shit is a bitch to get off. he writes his name all over his walls in like sharpies and markers he steals from me. my mom fuckin flips out. he&#39;s gonna bomb the shit outta philly wen he grows up

anyone have suggestions on where to start out in developin backgrounds or what is easy to start with, it would be really helpful especially now that i have my letter structure down and im doing good peices. The only thing they are missing is backgrounds.

and my mom bought him special markers that only draw on this specific crayola paper. i laugh my ass off ucz he draws on the walls and it dont do shit so he flips out

do simple shit - bar&#39;s, subtle bubbles, fades - don&#39;t do what some do and do some big crazy ass background cause it&#39;ll only detract from your piece

Hi, i have just started sketching and from what i have read on the forums, people should stetch for couple months before writing. So i was just wondering if anybody would like to give advice to me with the sketches. Like where to start and all.

start experimenting with different styles and look around at other peoples sketches to get ideas. dont copy the whole style tho cuz thats just strait up stealin. just mess around with it and shit and it should come to you after a while

oh and to add to that i have been probaly sketchin for a week have got some simple letters and that, but how do you start going into the cool 3d and all that. Lol you guys make you sketches so danm cool, and easy. But when i start sketchin i just stay stunned and have no idea what to do lol.

code, dont nessecarily worry about the 3-D and shadows yet. try to get some basic concepts down and you can always re-do them later. and one thing i wanna let you know since your new, try not to let anyone know you write. only ppl you&#39;re close wit becuz theres alotta snitches out there. why dont you post some of your sketeches up and we&#39;ll crit them. dont worry if theyre not amazing cuz your new so we understand
