okay, so my other question is that i am in a crew, and i like reppin' and everything, i just hate painting with more than one other person, and some of the worse writers have started beaking the guys who progressed quicker, should i stop reppping the crew considering its gone to shit? or should i keep posting n00dz

ok i worked out how to fade with paint pens, but i wanna use ink pens cause they are cheaper, there kinda like sharpies, well basically the same but a diff brand, and there ink, and they bleed thru the paper like reaaalll good, so how do i fade with these ones?

EDIT: no worries i used thickr paper so it didnt bleed as much so the ink pooled ontop of the paper instead of bleeding thru and it worked, iots all good.

Do the light colour first then when get down to the dark colours just shade it abit then shade a fraction of that with the darker one and keep going and maybe let it dry..

heres a way to test it, buy a can of paint, keep the receipt and put it in a plastic bag, walk back into the shop with your bought can of paint and the recepit and walk thropugh the doors and see if the alarm goes off, if it does, you have your receiept to prove uve alredy bought it and ur not rackin, if it dusnt, go rack some stuff, and i think plastic bags may stop the rays going through it, not sure tho.

I&#39;m pretty sure alarms at stores use magnetic strips to set them off. If it doesn&#39;t have a magnetic strip on it, I don&#39;t think it&#39;ll make the alarm go off. I&#39;m not too sure about Home Depot in specific, though.

well I did these with markers but iono about paint but what i do is rack some markers or paint or whatever you need while being sneaky. best when with friends like while you guys are walking in a big group you can cover certain cameras or workers and then you go to the bathroom. rip off all the tags and such and just drop it in the trash. then grab a candy and buy it and walk out.

You have to keep in mind that the barcode are for inventory purposes, not security. They are placed there by the manufacturer so the retailer can keep stock. Alarms don&#39;t read for barcodes, or well, I&#39;ve never seen any that do because it can&#39;t tell if a certain product was stolen being that all items of that model have the same barcode.

Buying shit when you rack seems real dodgy to me. Like it&#39;s more time standing around waiting to be served. I always go into shops and look around and don&#39;t buy anything so I don&#39;t think it&#39;s that sketchy just walking out.

I hear there is some stores with one way mirrors so if you think your looking into a mirror trying to pick your nose, remember there could be someone watching, but foreals there is cause I know someone who has worked at one of them stores and said he can see everything in the one way mirror from one spot in his office and can catch just about anyone. ok, its already been covered that plastic bags dont stop the &#39;rays&#39; from store security devices, but heres something that might:

get a backpack and a lot of tinfoil
cover the whole inside of the backpack with tinfoil, add many layers.
make sure there are no major breaks in the tinfoil lining
once you have added what you think is enough layers, place a cell phone in the bag, close it up and call the phone
if it doesnt ring, youre good to go

keep in mind i have never tested this, only read about it elsewhere. so if you try this and get busted, dont blame me


i always buy a can whenever im racking paint, a kid standing for awhile in the spray paint isle is pretty suspect if you ask me. if you leave with at least one can, its somewhat less suspicious. i can pay 4.50&#036; and get close to 10 cans of krylon? thats a pretty good deal

this is probly the worst question u could ask but im just starting out and how do u get your sketches colored all being the same color without the marker bleeding or overlapping to make it darker and what are prisma markers and asking this because its in the toy section

EDIT: and has anyone used the paint "ColorPlace" its cheap &#036;1 wallmart paint and i was gonna buy tips for them but i dont know if the tips would fit and i dont wanna waste the money any clue??

Go to any art or craft store and they should have a prisma markers. ask any worker about them and they should show you them. They are pretty pricey but are just so damn good to use. there really isnt much you can do to stop marker bleeding but if you don&#39;t want to make your fill or whatever darker avoid overlapping and go from one side to another. I find when writing with sharpies(because i suck and is too cheap to buy some prismas) is to quickly scrible in the fill without letting your sharpie to stop at all or you will have some dark parts and some light parts which is ugly.

p.s. You can look up prisma markers on google to get a better idea. It&#39;s all about google images.

p.p.s. I fergot to add a major thing about them and is that they are double tipped with one a broad chisel and one a fine tip but i think you have found that out already. ;)

One way to rack paint at places like home depot where there&#39;s a garden section is to bring a backpack and then get a bunch of paint and put it in your cart then walk out into the garden section, put the paint in your backpack and just throw it over the top of the fence and it works best if you have a friend on the other side. Then just grab a sharpie magnum or something and walk into the self checkout line.


Note: I do not condone the use of sharpie magnums....

Most stores I&#39;ve been to don&#39;t put sensors on spray paint.

My friend and I used to go in to Wal-mart with one of thier plastic shopping bags and just put as much paint as we could into it. Then, with a casual, confident walk, we strolled right out of the store. Never got in trouble for it.
Personally, I&#39;m not that ballsy on my own, so I do slightly less noticable cons. I grab a dollar can of paint and just scan that as I put Krylon or Rusto in the bag at the self check out. I only got caught once, by a nerdy guy who was way too loyal to the company, and that was because the Self-Check Out messed up right as I was putting in the money and the nerdy dude had to come help me and inspected my receipt.

I have a question that regards pressure on cans. I understand what the high pressure and low pressure means but what brands are which. I know montana spider is low pressure but i have no experience with an montana paint. I wanted to practice some can control like flairs and stuff now that i have caps, i tried with some Rusto Stops Rust Black because its what i had at the time, but it was coming out unlike it i expected it to be. I used a german fat and i didnt get that soft middle and crisp outside spraying like i expected, and it shot out the dot and when i tried a ny fat paint came out from the bottom of the cap. the rusto fats were alright it made a loud whistling noise but i didnt get that soft and crisp look i mentioned. Should i try some krylon, or what i doing something wrong? :ph34r:

i got some q&#39;s on caps. what kind of cap is the thinnest? like what do most people use for outlines so that the lines come about about 1/2-1 finger width wide, cause all the caps just say 1 finger wide and i dk which to choose but i want a fairly thin one that doesnt drip. and when u do a peice, you skecth the peice out in the same coloour ur gunna do the fill in, is there any caps u use specially for that? cause itd make it easier if it was like really low pressured so u cud move it real slow when sketching the peice out, but w/e. also what kind of caps are good for shading? when i paint a peice i wanna do say a pink fill with puprle shading on the edges what kind of cap wud be best for that? and one last q. what caps are good for fades? cheers for any help

Yeah that should be fine.

I went down to this wall and found about fifteen different clogged caps, took them home let them sit in paint thinner for about 20 minutes then used the compresser with an air gun to blow them out. The air gun step probably isn&#39;t all that needed.

sweet, sometimes after ive left them clogged and the paint has dried and i put them in the mineral turps, i take them out and blow on them but they stay clogged, so using an airgun in those situations wud be a good idea.

Yeah, even leaving them over night could work. Some people use acetone which would probably work better but I don&#39;t know how good it would be for the plastic caps, acetone likes to eat plasitc. It should be fine seeing as they&#39;re made to paint with but yeah.

In america its home depot, in UK it BnQ etc, they all have the open garden sections, well me and my mate got some metal cutters you know the big scissor type thing you can buy at the garden stores. and one night we cut a small hole into the fencing, right in the corner close to the floor, then for approx a month we could walk into the store and pop the cans through the fence. I aint sure what security is like in the US at these places but where i live (UK) there isnt even a camera in the garden section. I must of got 100+ cans. Worth a try :ph34r:

Personally I rented that game out before I got into graff. After playing it I realised that graff was more than writing on a wall and I read into some history and stuff about graff.

The game didn&#39;t really get me into graff but it still sparked an interest.

Overall I thought the game was OK, but it was pretty bullshit with how real it was.

theres this local spot i goto its abridge under a busy road and under the bidge the metro and freights go under then directly across the rode theres an office building the can easily be seen what we do is wait for the freight to go by so it hides us from the metro and the building i wsa there yesterday and i started painting when the freight whent by the at the very end there was a caboose (h/e thats spelled)

Yeah dude, racking is scary until you get used to it, especially at a young age. My friend and I recently started racking and we were scared shitless at first, now we&#39;re totally sav about it. Just go into like osh or something with a big backpack, grab like one can your first time and stick that shit in there then walk out. I don&#39;t know of any particular exercises, but I have the same problem. Years of manual labor have made my hands really shaky. I just try to stay really relaxed. I outline alot better when I&#39;m really focused and try and rest your arm not too far away from your sketch. Don&#39;t drink alot of caffiene, and don&#39;t try and do the entire outline from one spot. Flip the drawing around if you need to. That&#39;s all I got.

theres not really any one thing you can do. as cezr said relax and its just going to come with time.
just take your time and try not to move your hand to slow. its just like outlining with paint.
you want to move slow enought to get it straight, but the slower you move the easier it is to
exagerate the shakyness in the lines.

well i wanna make some stickers right and im thinking ill make them out of normal a4 paper, then cut it out and slap it onto stuff with sprayadhesive, will this work?

wheatpaste is simple and easy.

How do you cum up with different letterrings? cuz wenever i start skecthin i end up makin the same letters..i look a pro sketches but that dosent help much

find a style that you like a lot. then try and make your letters have the same feel.
dont bite it but you change that style into your own, such as pointy letters.
or some really flowy curves. or maby you want all the letters to bend outwards.
or all the letters are like leaning over to the left. maby you want all the letters to
have the same overall shape like a circle. just find something you like and try
and reproduce it in your own way.

If he&#39;s in the same city, and can burn you, yeah you should change your name, if you always right soke7, with the 7 every time, then it should be fine, maybe see if he&#39;s in a city thread on this, or try to talk to him, as long as he doesnt have a problem with it youll be fine. I would suggest changing if he can burn you though.
