They are usually made on thin paper (about as thin as a neswpaper, I don't know the GSM.)

spray paint in cold weather gets thicker, and since its cold it takes longer to dry whcih is why it runs/drips

Michael's has got wood markers in the wood section with the same nib, just refill with your own shit cause the ink they've got is so leaky it just falls out of the nib.

Lol, it's usually the opposite for me, I can draw pretty good pieces with detail, nice colours etc. (I'll upload some) but I generally can't apply crazy shit like that onto a wall, unless I had a lot of Montana, and favourable weather conditions.

If you keep all of it in a box and dont spray inside you should be good, maybe wash the caps after use if your really scared, but thats about it.

As much as you want....the only way its going to smell is if you use anything in your room. Even if you recently used something, everything has caps to put on them. You would only have to worry if you had some leaky mops really, or you did any mixing or refilling in your room.

Yes, rulers on sketches are a really good idea, atleast until you can do freehand bars really well. They are also good for measuring if your bars have a constant width.

i like otr golds, they flow pretty smoothly, and still look nice. if youre looking for permanency, try making your own inks. its pretty fun, you can learn a lot of stuff, and you have control over whats going into your inks.

colors are overrated, grab a cheap ass can of marsh tgrade, some garvey and a pilot off of artprim0 then go steal a kiwi mop and fill it up with some GK and youll be set.
markals come in a ton of colors and are tight too

No, not for the Molotow. The MTN doesn't really matter, you can warm it up easy, it's higher pressure. But the Molotow will settle in the can and get thick. There's more paint in the can than the MTN (Hence lower as opposed to higher pressure) and the paint will get bubbly, spurty, and thick. Molotow gone cold is bad. I know this for fact.

Will Molotow fade slower than other paints? Or is it a bullshit commercial talk? Molotow has been a disapointment for me, they said it will cover better than Montana and you can use it in winter and so on. But I think that both of those statements are false, or at least other paints have been better.

And I think that those krink markers are overrated, just get a random marker that can do a thin line, it dosen't realy matter. Krink will just 5 times more than a regular marker.

No JudgeWizely you're right, on the G and the Y the drop shadow is messed up, it's nice but you out the letter Y and it's shadow under the G but on top of the shadow. Whichever one you want on top is fine, but you can't split a letter and its shadow.

Im just curious, in my town, i have seen several writers up, nothing big, just like a dust tag here or there, then maybe a few lightpoles, then maybe a fence with a tag, anyway, there all from the same crew, and I'm curious do you think if i were to get up around town and stuff I would eventually find em and meet em, just curious.

try not to chose a name of someone who's in your area because that just sucks trust me, everyone thinks your the same person, not good, yeah don't touch legends names like saber even if your not in their town cause their so good. just pick something that comes to you, thats relatively unique, not too generic and most importantly in my opinion, one that flows well with your style, thats like one of the most important things to me I think just because style is so important. so yeah thats my advice.

dude, blowing out pen ink? never even heard of that.. lol, just cut up the cartridge of ink and dump it into rubbing alchohal 20 pens per quarter cup.. and why are you using ink? mops have paint basic 100% laytex achrillic paint and water XD lmao

well, the typical affect is just mad drip, and a stain on your leg from the mop leaking. with paint. it stays bottled and your colors are more well spread lol pluss you can control drip with water ratio. like most things the more water the more it does affect you paint. you can still put things in your paint for stain, and i would recomend you do. flat paint and water can be peeled off. dot3 brake fluid works well. and so do cod fish oil supplement pill. both easy items to obbtain. pocket them.. its a waste to buy them

I thought Dot3 was only for inks.
Anyways, you can use the ink if you'd like. I'm using 80 pens, 1 cup 99.9 alchohal, tiny tiny bit of Dot3 for my mop. After that though I'm going to give this new paint I got a shot.

Is it alright to thin the paint with some thinner rather than just water? And if Dot3 works well with paint too, I'll try it out.

well thinning the paint with thinner opposed to water won't kill it. but think of it this way. when you get paint on your hands and it WON'T come out with water... you use (paint thinner) so, yea... i have had many ink mops, and i always feel like a tool cause i have to use so much pre-caution not to spill and ruin my clothes. but with paint its very secure, and i think works better but, thats just oppinion. lol

Guys, your paint/ink smarts are terrible. Grab some oil based paint from lowes or home depot and thin it with paint thinner ONLY. Do not add dot3 to your paints or fish oil. And for your inks, dot3 brake fluid does more harm than good from my experiences, add some potassium perm. or methyl blue

Inks in mops: The mop needs a pump-actuator or it will leak everywhere.

Another thing with the ink mops, make sure the felt/nib/whatever you're using is in the tip TIGHT! lol I screwed up tonight, the mop was already leaking a little, so I decided to go mad drips and waste away my ink rather than bringing the mess inside my house, so I go to do some drips and the tip falls right off lol. Huge puddle of ink along with all the drips you could ever want lmao. Learned from my mistake and went and got myself a nice shoe polish mop :)

Never like shoe polish mops, the kiwi heads always fell off for me. Flaring is a technique that can be easily done with a fat cap, but nailing it down well takes practice.

Is German Montana really that much better than the old Krylon or Rusto? Because I found a local art shop that has some Montana Gold for $8.90/can. Just wondering if I should bother or if I should stick to Rusto and Krylon for $4-5ish a can?

Also, what oil paints would you recommend for making mops? I found a few tubes there, but they are $12-15ish (I'll probably rack em, but if I ask for some for xmas, I don't want to get shit).

It's called etch. It's hydrofluoric acid and it eats away at layers of some surfaces so your tag can't be buffed. If you do decide to get some I'd recommend you wear some thick gloves when mixing it and using it.

I am not a fan of hollows, but I realized that they help out letting you know if you have bullshit letter structure or not.

From staples? If you aren't going to do work on canvas, or some serious black book work, don't worry about any type of marker that doesn't have paint in it. If they have any solid state markers, sakura or mean streak pick em up. If you are into any mop making they will have most of the supplies you will need.

If you're doing graff on canvas, the standard tool is paint pens. Deco color, Poscas, Zig, whatever.
Good luck finding someone who knows a shop on the south side of chitown. There's prolly one though.
