It just depends on the style your rocking. Ive seen some of the big writers in my area use bars when peicing at the skatepark. Youll basicly use them for everything.

Lose the drips on the krump sketches. I never liked that pointy looking style, but that's my opinion. If you like it, it can be done well, take a look at some old revok pieces for an example.
I'd say stick with the straightletters more and get a real solid base with them. Learn how to manipulate bars better.

There might be silicone stuck in the straw. You can try banging the base on concrete and letting it sit over night.

It happened to me with a Piglet Pink by Molotow. Shook for 3 minutes. Sprayed a little silicone out and then stopped up. No caps would work. I let it sit and shook it for about 10 minutes the next day and it was fine.

There's a straw inside the can that brings paint up from the bottom of the can to the valve and through the cap. The Molotow has silicone in the straw that sprays out white before paint comes out.

I've heard some people have to shake certain colors for like 10 minutes to get the best results.

Iv eused my flouresent yellow from montaga gold for an outline once and its randomly clogged 5 minuts after. like i could spray liek one second with each new cap before the CAN would clog not the cap.
And for unclogging caps you could 1. dont be a jew and buy new caps OR BUY GRAFFITI PAINT REMOVER AND SPRAY THAT THROUGH THEM AND THEN THEYLL BE LIKE NEW!

I'm not to sure about the painters touch being clogged up but I wouldn't worry as much cause the'yre easier to get your hands on. But it definately sucks cause it's a waste of a few dollars. :/

Your an idiot so now your gonna have to unclog them the basic way. Take a needle and heat it up with a lighter. when its hot put it inside the cap where the paint comes out... It might take abit of force to put in but thats just all the paint blocking the hole. Its fine if you make the hole abit wider just try to remove as much as you can with the needle and they should eventully be unclogged and your cap will be back to normal. the bigger the pin the more paint it will scrape out.

Oh i forgot the further you push the needle in and move it around when its hot the more paint youll get out and if you make the hole like super wide they wont ever get clogged again and your cap will be fine....

There has been a layup in the next town for about 6-7 months now and im not gonna paint it but im just wondering why its been there for so long. Like its not a small line of cars it takes about 10 minuts on the highway to drive its entire lenth before it curves off into the country and keeps on going. It seems more and more stuff just appering on it every time i pass by I'm just wondering why hasent it moved is there such thing as bait trains that cops leave places to catch writers?

i paint trains regularly and at my layup there is a line of hoppers about 40 cars long and its been there for about 6 months.idk what the reason for them laying them up there for so long is but they are.only the individual rail company that lays them up there knows why so its a mystery.my guess is A.becuase of the down economy they havent been using as many cars as they used to so they are just leaving them there until they know what to do with them or B.the company that owns those cars is out of business and if thats the case you living near a graveyard which would suck haha.but more that likely its the former.dont trip fool its not a bait train.no one does that.but considering what youve said im guessin after a while it will be heated up becuase of all the toys.toys tend to do that to freight yards and layups haha.my advice is to stay off the freights until for a while anyways.until you get better yah know.

Now, I have never ever seen a car I've hit up before after the time I've hit it. Most people here have said I'm gonna' get crossed out, laughed at and straight up covered up but...just so happens I did get to see a freight I hit.
I hit it early this summer. I don't know where it's been since but...

There was a big piece by some D30 guys. One of the pieces said 'WYSE' and there was a big character to the left of it, with its eyes popping out. There was a 'Part 1' and a 'Part 2'. I couldn't figure out what 'Part 2' was due to dark colors and low light. 'Part 1' was on the left of my piece and 'Part 2' to the right. Definately new. Fresh paint. And I would've remembered seeing a D30 crew hit before I hit the train. And I wouldn't have gotten' between the pieces.

And guess what? They didn't cross me out or cover me up. They left my shit as is and went around it completely. So there. :p

If you could form a proper sentence then I could help you out. If you cant order your shit or buy it then srsly just hold off till you can legaly buy it or quit. Its really not that hard to buy paint even if its illeagle in your area there are still ways around it. Just off the top of my head go dumpster diving or take the train or bus to a graff shop or somewhere where they will sell it to you. Buy an airbrush kit and practice in your room, fuck or you could buy those pens you blow into the top into and paint come out the end.(REAL HEADS WILL KNOW WHAT IM TALKING BOOUT') There are tons of ways around this whole subject of... "yO GUIZ i cAnT f1Nd paint~cuz im broke and i HAVE A CRACked can but Theres StIll SOMe left in the cAP. HOW do I GET tHSAt SHIz!".
Get a job save your cash and buy paint or rack it. Simple as that.
If you got a messed up can just trash it its not worth all the trouble.

Do you just keep writing your entire alphabet until you got it down tight?
I mean i practice my name over and over but what about the rest of the alphabet?

Just write your name regularly with a chisel tip marker.
Don't worry about trying hard as fuck to make it look dope,
it's normally something that happens over time.

Once you get your natural flow down,
you'll be able to notice little things that could use minor (MINOR) changes.

handstyle eh, just free up your hand dont be all stiff like your writting normal letters just loosen it up and youll get your handstyle changin think of new ways u could draw letters etc you wont see imediate progress but you'll deff get better with time

first off stop wasting paper and invest in a dry erase board.the little ones you get at any store really.that way you can practice all day and not use all your paper up.next you wanna practice a normal script becuase it will help you get used to writing your shit down.get a feel for your letters an all.and get inspiration from other cats writes.check how they do their letters and learn from it.get the basic script down and then start to change it up until it looks more and more unique to you.and practice alot.its gonna take a while before your any good.so dont feel bad its like that for all of us.god you should see my old shit.hahaha.

Ok, what's a go0d methof for coloring with prismas? I hate using 1 color as the fill and have some areas darker cause the ink gets darker as it goes over the same spot.

I have a question. So whenever I put a throwie up, it seems like it gets bigger to smaller, and my letters curve upward. So I write nems, the N is nice and big, then by the time I get to the S it's half the size of the N and in the middle of it. Is there a good way to prevent this? When I sketch it doesn't happen, but that's because I can see all the letters, so I guess when i'm doing my throw, since I can't see the letters I sorta loose it, any help?

use things on the surface to make a mental note of size, like using bricks or imperfections in the wall. also, use things that have a constant size to help gauge how big your letters should be. try using the can to map out how big to go (like then N is 6 cans wide, ect...) i also use arms length a lot to map out size

Its not that hard on the wall because its so large scaled. Just look where your previouse letter is or maybe your not practicing your throw enough. I think proportion is a skill that takes time and practice. Somethings that I go with is.... space from the bottom/top of the wall, Lines on the brick. shadowns on the wall sometime help. Its more or less can control and practice.

You don't want to piss off the wrong people, or you get fucked for quite a while. You really need to walk on eggshells around you people, because there are so many assholes out there claiming different things, its easy to misinterpret.

haha question time. ok this is an interesting question. say you bite a style, but you keep it in your sketches and never paint it. over time you tweak it and change it until it no longer looks anything like the bitten style. you do thins only for practice and to broaden your range. is it still biting? is it still robbing some cats flavor? or is it taking influence?

Sketches go long. The slower you go the more shaky a line is in my personal experience

when youre doing your outline you need long strokes that go the same speed through the whole line so your line will stay the same thickness. the only reason you can get drips on your outline is because you're going to slow. the way to prevent that is by obviously going faster. as for this "sitting for a second" thing. that's when you take your finger off.

I find that the best way to get clean lines is just not pressing very hard down on the cap, and doing quick lines. Also not taking the can away from the wall everytime you do a line helps the overall letter structure.
