man, names need to mean something to you. or, some round of letters you think look good together.

take some letters you like, then try to make a name out of that. at 15 you dont need to be getting up at anything over a tag. tag's are a dime a dozen so its ok to change your name a lot.

once you come on something you like, make sure its not some legendary graffiti king, or someone very known to your city, or neighboring cities for that matter.

then run with it man.

iv been writting for 7 years and i remember when i was thirteen and just starting,the first time i went out i DESTROYED my town with these crappy throws. I got so full of my self that by the end of that night i thought i was fuckin COPE2. that night ended with me on a school roof hitting the front entrance, with ten cop cars yelling at me and my friend to get down. they dragged me down, kicked me in the face, i was bleeding out my eye as they were questioning me. that was my first nice out. I was walking home from school a month later and saw the city buffing my throws, and i thought, "fuck i got arrested for that ugly shit?!?!?!"
after that i hit the books hard and didnt drop a single tag or throw for a year. Used cans only in my friends backyard. I wanted to make sure that if i was gunna put my shit all over town, that it was gunna look good.

easiest one to get ahoold of is a kiwi mop. (kiwi shoe cleaner thing) empty it out and fill it with your own paint.

Kiwi mops are classic but tend to get messy. and are of course, refillable.
but then theres investing! i got a molotow burner like two years ago and its still my favorite marker.

well good ink does stain. my old tags from when i used to make ink, are still visable even thru multiple layers of paint. well prepared ink can stain concrete, i took me a while to get my recipe right but it took too long to make and would stain my entire room.

a small amount of Rusto Bucket paint, any color, some mineral spirits. 2/3 to 1/3, and pour in with like 3 BBs.

If you're looking for ink, nothing beats Marsh T-Grade mixed with Garvey. Stains, weatherproof, delicious drips. Get that in a Zig and you're good to go. If you want homemade ink, Bizerk-Iz did a tutorial in the "Inks" thread in Tools and Tips that has all you need to know.

Too get white to cover other colors you have to use a more powerful marker. something thicker. the most common are DECO's but i personaly dont like using decos for more then a few details in my peices. I LOVE ELMERS PAINT MARKERS! those are the best. they can be found at any art store, or sometimes even wal-mart/target/whatever

You could use different caps, but if you're new to it.. you should work with what it comes with. I commonly use fat caps for big area fills on big letters.. but again if you're just starting work with the stock caps to get a feel. More often then not even strokes back and forth creates a solid non-patchy fill.
Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I was hoping to see some people drop some N's. I feel like my N is stale and redundant, yet when I think I am going to lay out something new.. I feel like it looks the same. I'm not looking to chomp up peoples style like Pacman, just hoping to see something different to rework my own.

:rolleyes: Cmon dude use your head , You can get any Type of sandpaper, just stick/super glue it on the end of any marker, but I suggest something where you an easily replace it, and tadah, you have your own glass scratcher :P

well some cans are perm and depending on the can they can bleed through, take mtn 94's for instance, they smell great and great fast coverage.

walmart cans sometime's are shit and if you get rusto's then the best cap to use is most likley a rusto fag.

Sounds good to me man. If you can do dope shit on paper, and then start working with paint with what you can draw, you'll eventually get your can control good enough to where what you draw, is what you paint. Just do whatever feels good for you, seeing as it is graffiti and all.

In my opinion, the only toy thing I know of is either giving up because you don't want to put effort in, you cap everyone's shit/trying to be cool, or you're a straight up dumbass. If you're doing what you feel is right, the more power to you.

to answer the which finger do you use question, i use my pointer finger to outline and my thumb to fill.

reason i use my thumb to fill is because its stronger and i can keep it held down the whole time. makes shit got faster.

i use my thumb mostly. also use my pointer a lot. its just more natural, but since i paint when its freezing and snowing a lot i use my thumb cause it doesnt go numb as quick. then i switch to pointer when it goes numb haha.

I built up more muscle in my index, so I usually just use that when I can. Thumb for fills, sometimes.

here's a nother topic to talk of, whats your favorite crew? I like BF and NSF, pretty much all the same dudes, but thats just what i grew up seeing i guess. but they got that east coast steeze. ATAK, LIONS, CREMS, HERT. all dope writers.
