No problem. I would ask the same thing. No photoshop, no posterize. Results are too jagged. The mushroom cloud was designed using the pen tool only in Illustrator, no livetrace. I entered this in a digital battle a while ago and never thought I would paint it, but I had some time on my hands and lots of practice with pinstriping brushes, so I gave it a shot.

The girl and the cassette were done straight from photographs. I have done so many of these that I can tell the breaking point between colors pretty easily on the fly at this point.

by the way, you should try filling your shit in with colour before doing the outline, and possibly make the outline thinner to get a cleaner look, no hate, just callin it how i see it.

spray each one HEAVILY, one after the other onto the area, waiting 20 seconds after the 1st, but the remaining 3-4 really quickly
grab some news paper, scrunch up quite badly, make sure uve got enough scrunched up to completely cover your planet, place it over it, push down on 2-3 lil bits, rip back quickly.

ok you dont use glue, so dont listen to emmity. you can be cheap and go to wal mart and buy 'mod podge' i have never used it before but it comes in gloss and matte i believe, so either what your glueing will be shiny or not, it comes in a little jar like peatnut butter and you just put it on like paint.

orrrrrr you can buy the higher grade shit, at like micheals which is 'Liquitex varnish' also comes in little jar or big one, you are probably fimalier with the company if you paint canvas, its right with the paint. this comes in more varity, like high gloss, gloss, stain, matte. if you have any questions or if you dont get soemthing just pm me.

or when you paint the background of your canvas when the paint is still wet just stick it on then when that dry but your matte on it.
