the hand position seems kind of awkward. its like the right hand is crossing the other. and the other is hard to tell if it's a left hand although obviously it has to be. nice job on the shading and the shadow of the hand though.

try putting some highlight to where the index begins near the palm. cut down that shadow at the start of the index (at the palm) with just a little more highlight. and the inside of the index seems a little to fat (between the index and middle) trim that down some.

I was working from a reference image I took with my webcam. But I deleted the image. My thumb was in a weird position, though. I added more value to the thumb to try to make it look more three dimensional, I'll try darkening the highlight too.

I really don't under stand how the hand is then, because from the looks of it, it looks like the thumb is facing away from her body... When you let your hands fall to your side, the thumbs are facing inward.

That is how i'm seeing it. The red outline is the thumb, and the green is the rest of the hands/fingers. So to me it looks like the thumb is facing out, Please explain how it is/how it is suppose to be, because even if it is facing the right way, that would make that finger i outlined in red the pinky, and if that is true, why is it so much shorter and fatter than the rest of the fingers? And why is it hooking as the thumb would ? it truly does not make any sense.
