I like the what you were going for in those paintings but you went a bit overboard in my opinion. You show some potential but you need to clean your work up a bit. And yes your handstyle does need SOME work but its not terrible. Also, SBOMBS didn't get that trophy for nothing and he has to work hard to keep it. You just need some practice. And d3f wasn't talking down to you, his 3 year old just happens to be totally fucking beast at canvas. (Seriously, I'm not joking, that kid is awesome.)

Word up aesir. ive been writing anus since july, maybe my handstyle doesnt have the supreme maturity of a king, i dont really care though because its fresh my eyes. I never came out and said i was the dopest, im just throwin my shit out there for the world on a regular basis. Yes, i do tend to go overboard.. totally agree with ya, practice is the only path to perfect. I accept criticism from people, not childism. Sbombs, you're dope..but my dick. suck it.

what ever is your main colour use that everything in the background just aidd white or black to it for tones and hues and the most important tip i can give you for these types of backgrounds and things of that nature is less is more.

RAKAS: I like the colors and background, but I'm not feeling the upward black drips personally. Just an opinion though, take it or leave it.

My first real canvas attempt, and my first post outside th eToy section, so I know I'ma get told to head right back there, but the Toy canvas thread doesn't have a whole lot of crits going lately, so I was hoping to get some advice from some of you.

Still got to figure out where I'm going to incorporate the lettering, my focus on this canvas kind of shifted from just a background to a stand alone piece.

hmm definately don't leave it a stand alone piece, it looks like it's missing something. i dont know, for piecing on canvas i think grimey, dirty, grisly backgrounds are the way to go because of the way a clean piece will pop over that funk, but maybe some characters on that one would look decent.
