I use acrylic paint... but only a few that I mix with lots of water... When the shadings are done I use black ink to do the linework...

Yeah man, I like that, what I really like also is that you incorporate diferent materials in a square surface just like if you where painting on a canvas, except that not with paint, etc...but with stuff you find around. This also gives your stuff and urban thematic I like that you keep real for yourself it's not like super retorical shit. Keep doing your stuff and keep exploring unconventional ideas, it's awesome.

it actually DOES take talent, but not the talent your used to. You need to know your colors well, and composition, where to put different colors ect.

for that type of art its not really about technical skill, and realism or anything, its just about knowing where to put different things on teh canvas.

sorry i didnt start doing graffiti to make money, i started doing graffiti to do graffiti. ive sold my paintings in the past, ill admit it. but the truth is, graffiti is slowly dying, and this is the exact reason why. graffiti went from being in the streets to being in a gallery. granted, this trend did not just recently start, but it has been growing rapidly in the past few years. and graffiti has been dying in the past few years. and its because of people like you, starting graffiti because you figure you can make a career off of it. graffiti is a very underground culture, it shouldnt be taken off the street and put on a peice of canvas inside of someones house. graffiti belongs in the streets, stop profiting off of the culture.

Im going to say one thing to you...go home and get the fuck off....most people who paint canvases paint on a daily basic you muppet....and see it this way....by painting a canvas someone can admire that piece of work for the year and years it lasts....where as i can go out now...paint a ful on piece trackside, and 5 days later its been buffed and about 15 people will notice or even care about it.....

graffiti is finally being seen for what it is....true art...isnt that what we want...for people to stop chasin us when were paintin a peice and instead we can stand there paint a mural and get paid....and then offcourse there is still graffiti on the side but once you get older you releize that getting in trouble for bombing is just not worth it specially if your tryin to get a job because graffiti is not a joke....they fuck you over hard for it so why not become succesful doing what you love??your arguement doesnt compare your trying to look back at the 80's and 90's and say graffiti is underground blah blah blah but graffiti is not underground anymore graffiti is one of the largest art forms out there now so you should be happy with where graffiti is goin bro.

as an artist.. to me... I always want to move forward..
graffiti influenced canvas is .. im not gonna lie ... a hot thing right now..but now to say its killing what its all about which is going out and crushing spots illegally and every thing else is garbage..come'on..thats selfish dont you think..illegal graffiti will always be a key factor in ones career its like your resume... because that will always be there as a jumping off point.. thats the foundation of graffiti..and that will always be respected from one writer to another to say thats dieing is crazy ..the next generation writers are gonna be silly retarded with style... imagine graff 20 years from now ... WTF .. you cant !! wel be saying .. well back in my day ..blah blah.. about respect keeping it true .. (if homie is going out crushing all city bouncing in and out of the system. riding felony charges still bombing .. word thats some dedication and heart.. i give mad respect for that.. now if homie is doing paintings and getting in gallerys and shows and making bread...word.. respect.. dude has dedication and heart) - i dont hate on peoples choices..to each their own

id say its a movement towards bigger things that we wont know about unless someone goes out and fucking does it and people are fucking doin it right now .. and its fucking great.. im glad to be apart of it.. each person will have their own opinion about it of course but when i see fellow writers from my area/from around the word. and im able to meet them and see how they are as people.. i wanna meet you first.. then ill care about what you "write"... who they are and what they are about as a person.. the artwork that i see then means that much more..and walking into a gallery and seeing all types of people. young and old .. it makes me happy that i can use my talents and have people who dont understand it enjoy it in a more refined elegant open armed form...we are the now .. what we do is what our future will see .. its "the writing on the wall".real shit.. we are creating history.. there will always be that gritty dark street graffiti that i/we will always love .. but to be totally closed minded towards people doing graffiti styled fine art is being ignorant. new graffiti influenced artists are going to go down in history like ones before us..the ones we were influenced by.and will be rememberd.. there are many paths you can take in life.. you cant hate the player .. you can only hate the game.
