btw, dunno what you lads are on about with toys wasting canvas with this thread, you can repaint canvas over again using whitewall. ..and not sure about elsewhere but in my part of the world they seem to sell them mass produced these days for rediculously cheap (cheaper then you could buy the raw wood and canvas yourself) at a lot of $2 dollar type shops. I say if you can get them try one regardless of if your toy, if it sucks then white it and have another go. Least you'd learn something about doing one and they're not public anyways so who give's a flying duckshit in the woods if it comes out wack.

Elka those letters would actully not look to bad at all if you dropped the little add on on the bottom and then make your bars get skinnier to thinker from top to bottom.

For the canvas, it's way too busy. And it doesn't even follow a pattern, it's just loads of different shapes on a board. Seriously it loks stupid but look at it this way...you can only get better...

Canvas I did for my sisters birthday.

I'm not all that happy with it, my lines are real shakey in a lot places and it didn't help that my thin outline deco shat itself half way through. She likes it though so all gee.

to get the cleanest lines on canvases, do u guys use paint markers, like decos and stuff. cause when i was in school i did a cavas, and i was trying to get clean lines with a brush but it sucked.

yea, with canvases, i use paint markers....my favourite type is elmer's paint pens because they're available around my area, and you can get the nib in diff't widths (fine, medium, broad, and calligraphy)....im sure decos have it too, but look into that. Mostly i just use a brush for the background if i use acrylics...

Completed canvas.I think the scale of the A went a bit wrong in this one.Oh well,it was my first ever canvas.

Question:How do you get those natural looking splat backgrounds.Like how can you sketch over really thick splats.Will the paint even cover it?I like those sort of backgrounds but I don't really have the materials for the job(I'm using these inks now).

do mean like little specs of paint like in the background of c infintitys canvas??
if so then you can either jus press the cap slightly witout too much pressure, or you can use a toothbrush, dip it in paint then use your finger to flick the paint.
if you want like lines of paint flicked across the get some paper or card fold it and spray paint into the fold then use the card to flick the paint.
i hope that makes sense:S if not then il try n find you a tut or sumat from somwhere.

honestly you dont need a canvas grab a piece of cardboard, things in dumpsters, street signs, big poster board, broken mirrors, shoe boxes, cans, pets . . . alot of times it easier if you spray a non-canvas surface first but try not to get it on too thick/pool up then the surface will be too smooth and the paint markers dont seem to really lay consistent line . . .

bottom left of the S doesnt make sense and the low/mid part of the M and E are alil too far off . . . normally do the fill and 3d first but this was way to busy . .

dajam - looking nice, leaving the fill empty like that looks extra nice on a mirror with a nice 3d and forcefield . .

Nice. The white paint drips look good, there's not too many of them and they brighten the whole canvas. They also make the letters seem transparent. That's the kinda shit you can sell for a lot of money ;-)
