actually the us dollar is about 4 cents higher than the canadian one...

assuming that how can a marker increase nearly 4 bucks... at that rate i could make a living out of changing money from us to can!

taxes? they are charged at the end of the purchase at checkout time!

seriously... i think canadian customers deserv an explanation!

The thing is that the US dollar was worth 1.5 a few years ago and the canadian dollar is climbing since then. The problem is that the cost of the products is remaining the same and the prices in the USA are not changing. The prices are not too high in Canada, they are simply too low in the USA... we don't have control over the prices, it's like all other businesses: we have to follow the prices of the market (supply/demand). See for yourself in your local shop, the prices are pretty much the same everywhere.

As for the taxes and shipping, of course it is charged at the end of the checkout process, because it is calculated on the final value and weight of the order. It's the same thing in the US store.
